At the meeting the work of the forestry sector in 2015 was summarized. As the Head-Forester Ilnaz Kashapov and the Director of the forest establishment Eduard Petrov noted in their reports, the main planned figures have been achieved by the staff of both establishments. In compliance with the resolution of the final meeting of the Ministry’s collegium, at the meeting the tasks for 2016 have been set. In his speech, the Deputy Minister Rais Gumerov stressed that it is necessary to develop the production of consumer goods to meet consumer demands, to acquire sawmill, machinery, and to process the timber by ourselves. All of this will provide additional jobs and marketable products. Exactly this way the forest establishments carried on business before the forest reform.

At the end of the meeting Rais Gumerov awarded the best workers of establishments with the Honorary Diploma of the Ministry.

The pupils of the school forestry units participate in the organization of the bird eating-houses in the forest areas, school yards, city and rural parks where they hang bird feeders, which do not remain empty: several times a week they are filled with sunflower seeds, millet, breadcrumbs. The staff of forestries and nature sanctuaries tells pupils and fosterlings about the forest and its feathered inhabitants left to hibernate in their native lands, and answers questions from the kids.

Despite the lyrical name, the collection of essays on the activities of the State-financed institution “Sabinsky Educational and Experimental Forestry” contains business information on the Forest Breeding and Seed Center, wood processing complex that produces popular consumer goods using low-grade and small-diameter timber harvested in the Sabinsky forest, souvenirs workshop, etc. The essays tell about the people thanks to whose hard working and dedication to the forest the Saby village has attained the glory of “forest capital” of Tatarstan.

The environmental festival was organized in the kindergarten “Guselki” in Zelenodolsk. It began with a merry fairy performance “Ekotopik is looking for eco-house”, where the roles of the funny characters were performed by the parents of children. The small audience together with the hero of the fairy tale “rescued” woodsmen from the fire, cleaned the river and its banks from the debris, protected the planet from destruction. The children together with inspector of the Sviyazhsky Nature Sanctuary R.Gaynutdinova participated in the quiz about the nature. The most active children and adults were awarded with diplomas and grateful letters of the Sviyazhsky Nature Sanctuary.

When the festival was ended, R. Gainutdinova told parents and nursery teachers with the basic concepts of the water protection zones, and at the round table the joint activities that the administration of the kindergarten is planned to take within the Year of the Water Protection Zones were discussed.

It was emphasized at the final meeting of the collegium of the Ministry. The collegium was attended by the Deputy Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Yury Klimov, the deputy of the State Duma of Russia Fatikh Sibagatullin, the Chairman of the Council of Municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan Minsagit Shakirov, members of the Government, members of the collegium and representatives of territorial bodies, federal executive bodies, ministries and departments, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, and heads of municipalities.

In his summary report the Minister Almas Nazirov noted that in 2015 the Ministry has ensured the full implementation of measures for conservation, protection and reproduction of forests in the framework of the state task accomplished. Thanks to fire prevention activities and well-handled work on fire supervision there have been no forest fires in the forests of the Republic of Tatarstan. The reforestation activities have been taken efficiently and in a timely manner on a total area of ​​2128 hectares.

The director of the Buinsky Forestry Ilnar Gataullin told about the last year results and problems in the activities of the forestry. The teacher of the Lubyansky Forest Engineering College Pavel Sukhov addressed the collegium and noted that in the system of the training of specialists for the industry it is long past time to expand the range of specialties, in particular for the woodworking industry. The Director of the Republican Center of Student Groups Rinat Sadykov noted that the experience of the Republic for the arrangement of student groups engaged in the improvement of forests should be extended to the Volga Federal District and Russia.

The Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov has evaluated the work of foresters in the last year and set a task to increase the profitability of the Forest Breeding and Seed Center of Tatarstan and instructed to promptly make cadastral entry of the most valuable objects of the forest fund in order to prevent the unlawful seizure of territories. Moreover, it is necessary to start with illegal buildings in the forests near the cities, as well as on those areas where currently there is a largest number of violations.

At the end of the collegium there was an awarding of forestry employees and specialists distinguished following the results of 2015.

The extended meeting of the final collegium of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan with the participation of the leadership of the republic and the Federal Forestry Agency will be held on February 1 in the administrative building of the Ministry: Kh.Yamashev avenue, 37A.

The employees of the State Nature Sanctuary “Chulpan” carried out raids to repress environmental violations on the territory of the sanctuary and the natural monuments within its jurisdiction.

The ​​activities of the State Nature Sanctuary “Ashit” cover the area of 2700 hectares of the Atninsky Municipal District of Tatarstan and 8 natural monuments on the territory of the Arsky District with a total area of 1233 hectares. Despite the weather, the inspectors exercise the regional state supervision in the field of protection and use of the specially protected natural reservations; during raids the violations of sanctuary routine are repressed.

In winter, the regular supervision over the oxygen content in water, without which fish and other living organisms cannot live, is required. The sanctuary specialists take measures to prevent fish kill on the lakes in the floodplain of the Ashit River, equip the ice-holes and regularly clean the snow from the ice surface of water bodies.
