The specialists of the State Nature Sanctuary “Ashit” replaced the standard biology lesson by an interesting quiz. The class was divided into two teams, each of which had to show its knowledge in biology and ecology. Before starting the competition, the sanctuary specialists told the children about the importance of the water protection zones in the ecological system and why this year they are given so much attention. At the end, the winning team was awarded a diploma of the State Nature Sanctuary “Ashit”.

The changes are aimed at bringing the Environmental Code of the Republic of Tatarstan in compliance with the Federal Law “On Specially Protected Natural Reservations”. The purpose of the changes is the creation of uniform approach to the determination of categories of the local specially protected reservations. The local specially protected natural reservations are those plots of land and water space that are of the environmental, scientific, cultural, aesthetic, recreational and health-improving value and importance for the municipality, which are owned by the municipalities and are managed by local authorities. The enactment formalizes the following categories of local specially protected reservations: the recreational areas and natural micro-reservations.

During the raids the violations of sanctuary routine are found and repressed, resulting in seizure of 15 tools (nets) of administrative offense – illegal fishing. According to the facts, 6 protocols on the seizure of fishing tools are drawn up, 6 notices of initiation of administrative proceedings and carrying out of administrative investigation are issued.

The Forum is the main annual youth platform where any young man/woman and his/her team can present and defend their project, find partners for the project implementation. According to the results of the Forum the best ideas, projects and youth programs will be selected to get further support from the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, business partners, investors and organizers of the Forum.

The Republican Youth Forum is held in Tatarstan since 2010. During this time the Forum has undergone many different transformations, but its main objective remains the same – to create conditions for the discussion of a wide range of issues of youth of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as for presentation, discussion, evaluation and promotion of socially important, innovative, commercial and socially useful ideas and projects of youth .

This year the participants may submit their project to one of 10 themed platforms of the Forum:

The Organizing Committee of the VI Republican Youth Forum for two consecutive years now will be headed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Ildar Khalikov. As in the last year each of the Forum’s platforms will be supervised by the respective ministry or department of the republic; the heads of the platforms will be representatives of youth organizations.

The Forum “Our Tatarstan” will be traditionally held in several stages:

- From January 15 to February 29 there will be the application campaign. You may submit your project by filling in the appropriate form on the Forum’s website www.forumtatarstan.ru;

- From March 1 to March 14 there will be the absentee stage of the Forum where each project receives expert appraisal;

- Following the results of the absentee stage the best projects from each platform will go to the in-person stage which is to be held from March 21 to April 1. During this stage the finalists of the Forum will have an opportunity to communicate directly with the representatives of the ministries and departments of the republic, experts and partners of the Forum and to obtain references from them.

- Following the results of the in-person appraisal of the projectors of each themed platform, the list of finalists that present their projects at the final of the Forum at the end of April will be generated.

The final event of the Forum will be held in the form of a three-day exhibition of projects of the winners, where the educational events, workshops, discussion forums and expert meetings will be arranged, and the leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan will visit that exhibition.

Another incentive to take part in the Forum may be that the best projects of the Forum will be part of the delegation of Tatarstan and will participate in such federal platforms, as the Youth Forum of the Volga Federal District “iVolga”, All-Russian Youth Forums “Taurida” and “The territory of meaning”, International Youth Forum “Baltic Artek”, All-Russian Youth Forum “Iturup”, District North Caucasian Youth Forum “Mashuk”.

The Forum is open to young people aged between 14 and 30 (young scientists under the age of 35), students of higher and specialized secondary educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan, the activists of children's and youth non-governmental associations of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The extended meeting of the final collegium of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan with the participation of the leadership of the republic and the Federal Forestry Agency will be held on February 1 in the administrative building of the Ministry: Kh.Yamashev avenue, 37A.

So, the experts of Baltasinsky State Nature Sanctuary carried out raids together with the inspector of the Office for the Protection and Use of Wildlife Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan for the Baltasinsky District Khakimzyanov A.G. and the district police officer of the Baltasinsky District Police Department second lieutenant R. Zaripov.

In 2015, during the regional state supervision in the field of protection and use of regional specially protected natural reservations, the inspection service of the state nature sanctuaries has carried out 2042 raids, found 765 violations, of which 52% are violations of fishery regulations, 39% are violations of the procedure for travel and parking on the specially protected natural reservations of Tatarstan.

According to the violations found, 650 protocols have been drawn up, 51.5% of them – administrative offense protocols, 48.5% – on the taking of illegal fishing tools (nets); 536 decisions have been issued, including 60.1% – on administrative punishment as a fine. The total amount of administrative fines amounted to 1 268.0 thousand rubles imposed on 1 legal entity and 327 individuals. By year end, 50% of penalty amounts were recovered. 36 claims for damages to natural complexes of sanctuary totaling 200.5 thousand rubles have been made against violators; 83.7 thousand rubles have been recovered.

During the state environmental supervision 487 tools of administrative offense (nets) have been taken by the sanctuary inspectors. On average, one inspector of the sanctuary found 16 violations in 2015.

The administrations of the sanctuaries together with the district departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Office for the Protection and Use of Wildlife Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, and other authorities have carried out more than 300 joint inspection raids, during which 130 violations have been found.

The draft of the consolidated plan for forest fire fighting was prepared by the specialists of the State Control and Supervision Department of the Ministry and submitted for approval to the Federal Forestry Agency and the Department of Forestry of the Volga Federal District. Upon review of the project by the Department the opinion will be prepared and provided to the ministry. During 2011-2015, no forest fires on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan have been recorded.

The inspectors of the sanctuary together with the Office for the Protection and Use of Wildlife Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan for the Baltasinsky District have fed the wild hoofed animals that live in the territories of the Baltasinsky District Forestry and the Baltasinsky Sanctuary. Within one day they used 400 kg of grain provided as a charity support by LLC “Azyk” and LLC “Melprom”.

Subject to the Order of the Ministry, to ensure the safety of coniferous underwood, in the pre-New Year period 145 mobile forest expert teams provided with the transport were created. From December 20 to December 31 they regularly patrolled the forest areas, having made 257 raids. According to the experts of the Forest Fund State Control Department, as a result of the raids the administrative forest offences were found, whereby 14 protocols on the damage amount of 23758 rubles have been made, of which 21,396 rubles have been recovered.

In the pre-New Year period the foresters raised awareness in the mass media on the preservation and careful attitude to forests and inadmissibility of coniferous underwood destruction, as well as on the statutory responsibility for the illegal wood logging and damage to forest plantations.

As is reported in Chistopolskiye Izvestia newspaper, the Cossacks from the Farm Cossack Society “Chistopolskaya Settlement” of the Simbirsky District Cossack Society of the Volga Region Military Cossack Society in cooperation with the foresters of the Chistopolsky District Forestry “Kama forestry” took part in the “Spruce” environmental campaign to detect illegal wood logging.
