Nature reserve fund of the Republic of Tatarstan includes 171 specially protected natural reservations in total area of ​​165.7 hectares, including 166 objects of regional nature reserve fund in area of ​​126.8 hectares: 26 state nature sanctuaries and 140 natural monuments. In 2015, the materials of integrated ecological survey of sites in the Bugulminsky District, justifying the assignment to these territories the legal status of regional specially protected natural reservations, have got the positive state ecological expert evaluation.

To effect in 2017 in the Republic of the Year of Specially Protected Reservations, the Ministry of Forestry of Tatarstan has elaborated an action plan, aimed at preserving biological diversity and implementing the state program “Environmental protection, Reproduction and Use of Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2014 – 2020”.

As the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation – the Head of the Federal Forestry Agency, Ivan Valentik, told in its interview to RIA Novosti, the penalties for failure to provide information are rather large – from 7 to 25 thousand rubles for individual entrepreneurs and from 100 to 200 thousand rubles for legal entities. Moreover, the penalties will be imposed for failure to provide, for late provision or provision of misleading information on timber transactions.

The key activities include the drawing of public attention to the conservation and restoration of water bodies, conservation of habitat of aquatic biological resources and other species of wild fauna and flora, creating of comfortable environment for people.

Forests are a major environmental factor of protection and stabilization of the natural environment – water, air, soil protection, and protection of human health; that is why Almas Nazirov, the Minister of Forestry of Tatarstan, is in the organizing committee.

The Federal Forest Agency summarized the results of the All-Russian contest “The best forest nursery” and nominated the following facilities in the category “Ball-rooted planting stock cultivation”:

I place – Educational and Experimental Sabinsky Leskhoz, Forest Seed and Breeding Center of the Republic of Tatarstan;

II place – branch of the Specialized Autonomous Institution of the Vologda region “Vologdaleskhoz”;

III place – the nursery of OJSC Mondi Syktyvkar.

There are 55 basic forest nurseries as part of the Ministry where 1.7 million plantings of fancy breed and fruit species were grown in the past year. The staff of forest nurseries introduces the advanced technologies into the organization of work; the silvicultural teams achieve high performance and enhance the above-plan output of planting stock per unit area. These figures were taken into account when summarizing the results of the competition.

The Advanced Forest Nursery 2015 status was given to the basic nurseries of the Surnarsky production site of the State-financed institution “Arsky Leskhoz” and Lubyansky Forest Engineering College. At year-end, the basis forest nursery of Matyushinsky production site of Educational and Experimental Prigorodny forest establishment reaffirmed the status of the advanced forest nursery.

In forestries the logging of New Year firs and pines by the auction winners – forest establishments – under the forest plantation purchase contracts is controlled.

In total, in the New Year bazaars of the republic 18493 forest beauties, 54 tons of fir twigs will be featured. The cost of trees is from 250 to 300 rubles.

In Orenburg, the heads of the Federal Forestry Agency, the Forestry Department of the Volga Federal District and the executive authorities will discuss efficiency issues of the exercise of delegated authorities in the field of forestry affairs by the constituents of the district in 2015 and tasks for 2016.

At the meeting the Minister Almas Nazirov will make a report “Forest management in the Republic of Tatarstan”.

From December 20 in the forestries there will be the regular patrolling of forest areas where the coniferous planting prevail.

According to the forest legislation violations detected the prompt measures such as initiation of proceedings and administrative offence reports drawing up will be taken, and in cases of damage to forest plantations in the amount of 5 thousand rubles and more, the materials will be provided to the investigating authorities for initiation of criminal cases. The foresters will protect forests against violators up to December 31.

The games were held at the sports complex “KAI-Olymp” as part of the Spartakiad taking place among the civil servants of the Republic of Tatarstan.
