The forests are the one of the main ecological factors of the protection and stabilization of the environment – the water, air, soil protection, and health protection of the person. The Minister of Forestry, as well as the recommended managers and specialists of the agencies concerned, will be required to develop an action plan aimed at the conservation and restoration of water bodies and habitats of aquatic biological resources and other objects of flora and fauna, creation of favorable conditions for the population of the republic.
The plan of key activities to be elaborated and approved by the Organizing Committee for that Year includes the public attention drawing to the conservation and restoration of water bodies, conservation of habitat of aquatic biological resources and other objects of flora and fauna, creation of comfortable environment for people.
In the forestry of the republic the projects “Optimization of mixed stands of English oak and small-leaved lime” (OMSK) and “Wood plantations development and use in the Republic of Tatarstan” (LesPlan) are carried out together with German research foresters from Dresden University of Technology. The projects are funded by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture on the basis of the decision of the German Bundestag.
Within the week, Tatarstan delegation, headed by the First Deputy Minister Kharis Musin, visited nurseries, forest enterprises, wood processing enterprises and forest research centers in Saxony. On the last day of visit the delegation became acquainted with the Forest Department of the Dresden University of Technology. Tatarstan foresters laid flowers at the monument to the founder of Tharandt Forestry School, the oldest in Europe, Heinrich Cotta, and took part in a tour to the Forest Botanical Museum in Tharandt.
The awarding will be held in the Cultural and Entertainment Center “Pyramid”. The Minister of Forestry of Tatarstan Almas Nazirov will take part in a ceremony in the CEC “Pyramid”. Such competitions as “ECOleader” and “Man and Nature” are held by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in order to attract public attention to the environmental safety problems. According to organizers, this year more than 450 works have been submitted to ECOleader competition.
The delegation headed by the First Deputy Minister Kharis Musin visited the Northwest German Forest Research Institute where it studied the method of growth of the fast growing species of wood, saw over the laboratory and experimental plots. The next days the tour to the forest enterprise “Dresdner Heide” to look over the 75-year old oak plantations and the Dresden historical sites walk was scheduled.
The Acting Minister Rais Gumerov chaired the meeting. On the agenda there is a consideration of economic activities of forest establishments, the inspection results of which were reported by the specialists of the Finance Department and the Economy Department Rustem Khalikov and Oleg Rzay.
At the meeting there were also considered the issues of occupational health and safety at the production sites of timber cutting. The heads of Alkeyevsky, Menzelinsky and Nizhnekamsky forest establishments reported of occupational safety measures taken in the establishments.
To summarize the workshop, Rais Gumerov noted that he was aimed to discuss the issues that require the work improvement and to create conditions increasing the efficiency of forest use.

In November, the delegation of scientists from Dresden University of Technology, the representatives of the Tharandt forestry school, the oldest in Europe, have visited Kazan with the working meeting on the issues of project implementation on the territory of the Kaybitsky Forestry and the Sabinsky Forestry. The First Deputy Minister Kharis Musin, the head of the Reforestation Department Ildar Khalilov, the Director of the branch of the East-European Forest Experimental Station Aynur Puryaev, the head and the forester of the Kaybitsky Forestry Ilgiz Khaffazov, the Director of the Forest Breeding and Seed Center of Tatarstan Ruslan Gazizov, the Commercial Director of LLC “Sabinsky Leskhoz” Azat Minnikhanov take part in the conference in Dresden. The representatives of the republic visited the Environmental Education Center “Gunterhauzen”, inspected flood plain oak forests and afforestation of municipal economy of Mainz.
The program of Tatarstan foresters visit will run until December 9.
The state of oak forests of Germany is of practical interest of the delegation of our foresters headed by Kharis Musin. Within the project “Optimization of mixed stands of English oak and small-leaved lime” (OMSK) to be implemented in Kaybitsky Forestry, the representatives of the republic visited the Spessart oak forests with natural reforestation and certified oak plantation for seed production.
In 2015 in 55 basis forest nurseries of the republic over 52 mln. units of planting stock were grown. Within the framework of the competition the results and quality of the crop of this year, the state of the basis forest nursery, the school unit and its equipping will be taken into account.
Last year, the best nurseries were recognized the forest nurseries of Mamadyshsky, Kyzyl-Yulduzsky and Prigorodny forest establishments.
The Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Almas Nazirov warmly welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Ildar Timergalin, the Minister of Forestry of Bashkortostan Dinir Akhmedyanov, head of the Section of Forestry of the Department of Agroindustrial Complex and Forestry of the Office of the Government of Bashkortostan Aibulat Gainullin, head of the Department of Legal and Personnel Work of the Ministry of Forestry of Bashkortostan Venera Vakhitova. At the meeting the colleagues from Bashkortostan were interested in the regulatory support of forestry management, lease relationships and administration of payments relating to the recovery of arrears, issues concerning cadastral registration of forest area and the implementation of priority investment projects for timber harvesting and processing.
Upon completion of the working meeting the First Deputy Minister Kharis Musin introduced the delegation with the structure of ministry and its experts, and accompanied the delegation in the Museum of Forest. The director of the museum Ilgiz Zaripov conducted the excursion for the guests.
Tomorrow the delegation from Ufa will visit the Sabinsky Forestry, where it will be introduced with the Forest Breeding and Seed Center of Tatarstan and then it will go to Yelabuga to visit KASTAMONU’s MDF plant.
