By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, 2016 is announced as a Year of Water Conservation Zones in the Republic of Tatarstan

The plan of key activities to be elaborated and approved by the Organizing Committee for that Year includes the public attention drawing to the conservation and restoration of water bodies, conservation of habitat of aquatic biological resources and other objects of flora and fauna, creation of comfortable environment for people.
