In its interview with the nationwide newspaper’s correspondent D.Nazarkin Almas Nazirov told about short-term and long-term plans of the Ministry as well as of changes taken place in the agency’s work since opening of the woodworking factory of Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone. The Minister noted that the critical task of wood growers is to find balance between reafforestation, conservation, protection and the sustainable use of forest raw material resources. “All lands not involved in cultivation of crops should be afforested,” Almas Nazirov emphasized.
June weather conditions contribute to heavy growth of weeds and infecting agents (pathogens) of seedlings and planting stock of woody species. It takes much effort not to lose the planting stock for the future forest. Wood growers protect their nurse-children: the plantations of nurseries are weeded out, poured, shaded from sunscalds and treated from pathogenic organisms.
The raids were carried out on the territories of the reestablished natural monuments in the Apastovsky district: “Corydalis Marschalliana Habitat”, “Petrov’s Corner” and “Oxbow of the Sviyaga River”. In winter along the boundaries of these objects the notice plates with territory map and information on special protection were put. The Decrees were published in the local and republican press.
In spite of all warnings, there are still enough violators. So, the State Environment Protection Inspectors suppressed the fishery regulation violation on the territory of the natural monument “Oxbow of the Sviyaga River”. The report on administrative offence was drawn up and a decree on administrative punishment as a penalty was issued.
Over the last weekend, by the morning of June 08, 2015, no fire episodes have been recorded over the forest area of the Republic of Tatarstan.

During the seminar the participants saw the afforested areas where this year the ball-rooted stock and provenance trial of common spruce with selecting cuttings was planted. They also visited type II Fire Chemical Station and forest nurseries. The department heads of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan spoke to the Forest Foremen and District Foresters as to improve the personnel’s theoretical skills and recommended practices with regard to key silvicultural operations. The First Deputy Minister Kharis Musin summarized the seminar.
As part of the campaign the Ministry arranged the clearing of forests from litter and debris, repair and construction of street furniture. Heads of villages, administration of horticultural societies, tenants of the timbered areas and pupils and students were involved in the campaign.
The State Forest Inspectors of the Republic of Tatarstan and the State Environment Protection Inspectors of the Republic of Tatarstan carried out 68 raids to identify and prevent unauthorized household solid waste landfills in forested areas and in the specially protected natural reservations. Following the raids, 21 household solid waste landfills were found and disposed of, 1255 cubic meters of solid and other wastes were moved to the authorized landfills.
State public institution “Forestry” cleared 891.8 hectares of territory along federal and regional roads and highways from litter the total volume of which was 2592 cubic meters.
From April 25 to June 10 the State Environment Protection Inspectors of the Republic of Tatarstan detected 190 violations of environmental laws on the protected water area of the Republic of Tatarstan. 70 reports on administrative offence under the Article 8.39 of the Administrative Offences Code of Russia were drawn up. 10 records for initiation of criminal cases were handed over to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan.
During the operation 228 tools for illegal use of natural resources including 151 network, as well as 39.2 kg of fish and 6 floating crafts were seized from environmental law offenders.
Over a period of operation the individuals were imposed the penalties in the total amount of 171 thousand rubles; the offenders have to pay 56.1 thousand rubles for the damage caused.
The certification to comply with the requirements of environmental friendly production set forth by the EC Regulations was carried out by RosNefteKomplekt LLC (Leninogorsk) on agriculturally used areas included into the Stepnoy Sanctuary.
The Sabantuy festivities took place in Tatarskaya Kargala village, the Orenburg Region. The representatives of the Lubyansky Forest Engineering College were among the delegates from Tatarstan. The Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov came to visit the exhibition area of the College. The College Director Afanasiy Danilov answered the questions of the Orenburg Region Governor Yuri Berg and other officials concerning the College work and personnel training for the forest management.
