The All-Russian Ecological Public Movement “Green Russia” instituted the All-Russian contest for the most active and interesting coverage of the Special project “Victory forest”. One of the contest aims is to encourage empathic attitude of journalists to the issues regarding coverage of patriotic and ecological aspects of the country life and the project “Victory forest”.

By order of the Federal Forestry Agency Lyubov Vasilyevna Khikmatova, forest expert of Petrovsky forest economic site of the State Budgetary Establishment “Bugulmales” was awarded for long dedicated work, great personal contribution into solution of tasks on the rational use, preservation and augmentation of the forest wealth of Russia.
In September 2007, the Bureau of the International Coordinating Council of the MAB UNESCO decided to include GPKZ "Spassky» ("Sviazhsky Wetland Area") as a cluster sites in the Greater Volga
The ministry held a meeting with the participation of specialists of the state forest registry, use of forests and forest management and branches "Roslesinforg." Discussed the results of the executed works in forest management Tetyushskogo, Buinsky, Nurlatsky, Elabuzhsky Laishevskom and forestry.

The Parliament proceedings on “Legal and economic aspects of efficacy enhancement and development of the forest complex of the Russian Federation” were held at the State Duma Committee for Nature Resources, Nature Use and Ecology under the chairmanship of V.I. Kashin. Representatives of legislative and executive state authorities of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, on the territory whereof there are forest resources, spoke during the proceedings.
In his report on “Economic strategy for development of the forest complex of the Republic of Tatarstan”, First Deputy Minister Kharis Musin told about three projects implemented in the field, namely forest reclamation, forest protection and rational use of forest raw resources.
Kh.G. Musin also turned everyone’s attention to the burning issues that emerge in the course of implementation of a complex of forest economic measures on the territory of Tatarstan as a sparsely forested Republic, and he also submitted several offers regarding legal and economic aspects of the field development.
Expert of the nature reserve Tatyana Nikitina visited schools of Kamskoe Ustye district. She met with junior pupils and told them about importance of birds in the life of nature, about the birdkind that hibernates during winter in this country and how difficult it is for them to obtain food.
The talk in Syukeevskaya secondary school finished at the school yard where pupils hung hand-made birdhouses with “treats” for birds that they had brought from homes. Tatyana Nikitina expressed her gratitude to pupils and teachers for their kind-heartedness and presented books on birds to them on behalf of the nature reserve.

College students engaged in amateur talent groups took active part in the district festival of folk art in Kukmor. Performance of the ensemble “Yashlek” (art director N. Kozyreva) enjoyed the greatest success along with a vocal-instrumental ensemble “Nostalgiya”. War-time songs and modern variety performances along with rhythmical dances and folk compositions were on the students’ repertoire.
Gala concert with participation of students of Lubyany Forest Engineering College will be held in the district culture center during public holidays in May.
