Arrangement of forest surveying is an important part of the state forest policy since it is necessary for studying and accounting of the state of forests on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. The latest forest surveying in our Republic was held in 2000-2005. This year forest surveying will be held in 15 state public forestry establishments on the area of 509 thousand ha. The funds for forest surveying were allocated from the budgets of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation to the amount of 77 million rubles.

     Its importance is related to the fact that certain projects for forest reclamation are about to expire and the wood processing plant is starting to operate being a large investment project of a Turkish company “Kastamony Integre Wood Industry” for production of MDF, OSB and chip boards that is being constructed in the special economic zone “Alabuga”.    

This year, fellow workers of the forestry field from all forestries of Tatarstan and the Volga Region came to the reunion of alumni of the Lubyany Forest Engineering College that is the Republican alma mater of the forest field middle ranking workers. During the solemn meeting they were greeted by the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Kharis Musin and Director of College Mullanur Gubaydullin.

The previous academic year was a very happy year for college teachers and students. The State Budgetary Educational Establishment of Vocational Education “Lubyany Forest Engineering College” obtained the status of the Laureate of the National Contest “Best colleges of the Russian Federation”, and its students were the winners and laureates of the All-Russian and regional professional contests and sports competitions.

Since in 2012 Lubyany Forest Engineering College has been under the authority of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, and since then the material and technical base of the educational establishment has considerably improved, the students acquire practical skills of timber harvesting using modern equipment – harvester and forwarder, while the skills of timber processing are obtained in the workshop of the timber mill.

        The First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Kharis Musin presented the working team of Lubyany Forest Engineering College with a gift certificate for 20 pieces of computer equipment. Then he inspected the course of construction of the eating house building for college students.

A group of young specialists of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan are prospective students as well – they pass entrance exams to the Mari State Polytechnic University. If they pass the exams successfully, they will study for the second higher education in compliance with the program “State management of forest resources”.

The Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Magdeev held a meeting with heads of subordinate establishments. Procurement and delivery of timber to the sites of the plant “Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry” from republican forestries are on the agenda.

Heads foresters and directors of the state budgetary establishments “Forest” reported to the Minister on the course of wood procurement in their establishments and its transportation by short log trucks of the Forest Transportation Company.

A seminar-meeting of the experts of subordinate establishments was held at the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan with regard to the work of the Unified Interdepartmental System of E-Document Management (UISEDM). Head of the organization department of the Ministry Nailya Lonkina introduced the Head of the Workflow Department of the Administration for Documentation under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan Natalya Lebedeva. The issues arising in the course of work with documents, their alignment with the applicable norms of the workflow management, accounting, registration and dispatch of organization and administrative documents in the Unified Interdepartmental System of E-Document Management were discussed during the seminar.

A traditional reunion of alumni from various classes of Lubyany Forest Engineering College will be held on August 9 at 10 am. 

The Republican Center of students’ teams is engaged not only in the arrangement of teams for beautification of forests, but also in the issues regarding vocational guidance and labor nurturing among youth and pupils. The first labor and recreational tented camp was opened in the Prigorodny forestry. The program of the summer session of the camp “Forest protectors” includes both assistance to the forest and forest nursery, as well as sports competitions and recreational parties. Pupils of school forestries, as well as pupils of schools interested in the issues of ecology and forest life were on the first team.

The Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan met with “Forest Protectors” and talked with them.

The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan are the project partners on behalf of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The forest surveying work to be conducted on the territory of Arsk, Buinsk, Isleytarsky, Mamadysh, Nurlaty, Privolzhsky, Tetyushi and Cheremshany forestries was discussed during the working meeting of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan with participation of heads of subordinate establishments and specialists of the forest exploitation department.
