Forest surveying is performed in forestries of the Republic of Tatarstan

Arrangement of forest surveying is an important part of the state forest policy since it is necessary for studying and accounting of the state of forests on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. The latest forest surveying in our Republic was held in 2000-2005. This year forest surveying will be held in 15 state public forestry establishments on the area of 509 thousand ha. The funds for forest surveying were allocated from the budgets of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation to the amount of 77 million rubles.

     Its importance is related to the fact that certain projects for forest reclamation are about to expire and the wood processing plant is starting to operate being a large investment project of a Turkish company “Kastamony Integre Wood Industry” for production of MDF, OSB and chip boards that is being constructed in the special economic zone “Alabuga”.
