Foresters of the Republic headed by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nail Magdeev, will visit establishments and nurseries of Leningrad region on June 23-25th on invitation of the Chairperson of the Committee for Natural Resources of Leningrad Region A.A. Eglit.
The Championship of Russia was held in Kirov, and 24 teams participated in it. The team of Tatarstan that included tree fellers, as well as harvester/forwarder operators from the State Budgetary establishment “Nurlatles” and Saby scientific-experimental forestry establishment, performed well at the competitions, was rated the third at the mechanical logging and was awarded with the Cup for implementation of advanced technologies.
The Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nail Magdeev, who was included into the steering committee of competitions, congratulated the team of Tatar tree fellersMany school leavers of the Lubyansky Forest Engineering College work as heads and leading specialists in the forestry field not only in our Republic. Diplomas in such areas as “Forest management and aesthetic forestry”, “Park and garden construction and landscaping”, “Economics and Accounting” will be awarded this year to 72 full-time students and 19 students engaged in distance education. Deputies of the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Kharis Musin and Ramil Makhmutov are chairpersons of the state examination board. Diplomas will be awarded to the college leavers on June 27th.
The nature protection campaign “March of parks 2014” was held this year under the given slogan. The Center for wild nature protection (Moscow) is the Russian coordinator of the campaign. The campaign is aimed at propaganda of ecological importance of specially protected natural territories, as well as fostering of careful attention to water resources and dwellers of water bodies in the young generation of the Republic of Tatarstan.
This international campaign was held in 20 municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan in 5 stages: educative, competitive, working, festive, and accounting. More than 25.4 thousand people took part in the events organized by administrations of the state nature reserves of the Republic of Tatarstan; while 279 companies, organizations and establishments became active partners of the campaign;
all in all, 122 ecological landing troops were organized to ensure voluntary assistance in holding of nature protection events (cleaning of forests and shores of water bodies from litter, their landscaping etc.), wherein about 9.0 thousand people took place;
all in all, 26 mass media participated in coverage of events of the “March of parks 2014”, and 34 articles were published in 20 newspapers;
all in all, 4,276 pupils from 199 schools of the Republic took part in the contest of children’s drawings “World of wilderness”. Moreover, 2,394 pupils from 186 schools participated in the contest of photos “Islands of wild nature”, and 1,644 pupils from 171 schools of the Republic took part in the contest of children’s creative pieces of work “Lukomorye”.
One of the tasks of the contest is to revive superiority of the Republic of Tatarstan among the workers of the forest complex and augment professional excellence of workers of the field. Teams from all subordinate establishments took part in the contest including wood choppers qualified as tree fellers and forwarder/harvester operators.
When opening the contest, the Minister of forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nail Magdeev, noted: “Main tasks of forestry workers of the Republic of Tatarstan that we deal with include not only protection of forests and reforestation, but also assurance of rational forest use. New technologies and instruments emerge nowadays and improve, and a profession of a tree feller, harvester/forwarder operator is becoming a leading and respected profession among forest complex workers.
Nikolay Orlov from Vologda is the main judge of competitions — his refereeing experience comprises about 15 years in analogous competitions — acknowledged high quality organization of the competition and excellence of participants.
The program of competitions included several stages: tree felling at the cutting area, replacement of the chain in a chainsaw, crosscutting with a mixed run, precise crosscutting, cutting of brushwood, as well as a team relay. After the draw procedure, the teams got their allotments in Meshabashsky local forestry. Winners who got top places as well as the teams were determined in every category including the scientific-experimental Saby forestry establishment, state budgetary establishments “Nurlatles” and “Archales”.
The team of winners will represent the Republic of Tatarstan in the All-Russian championship among tree fellers “Wood chopper 2014” that will be held on June 19-21 in Kirov region.
In the framework of development and implementation of the project “Scientific and Production Center ‘Russian oak forests’” with regard to the issue of studying of the technologies of the long-term storage of acorns of English oak, as well as modern innovation approaches to growing planting material of conifer species, the delegation of the Ministry of the Republic of Tatarstan including the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, N.G. Magdeev, and the Head of the Department of Reforestation and Forest Cultivation under the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, I.N. Zaripova, visited the Republic of Poland and the Kingdom of Sweden.
During the trip, according to the program elaborated together with colleagues from the company ВСС АВ (Sweden) and agreements with colleagues from the Main Office of state forests of the Republic of Poland (Warsaw, Krakow) innovation forest nurseries and the Forest gene bank were visited. In the nursery “Vybitorp” (Sweden), the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan familiarized with the newest technologies of production of ball-rooted micro-nurselings in order to plant them in larger cassettes. The Forest gene bank and the nursery for production of ball-rooted nurselings of English oak were visited in the Republic of Poland.
Head of Russian UN UNIDO projects, B. Melnichuk, participated in the work of the delegation.
New construction facilities and historical buildings in the center of Kazan that have been restored and that require restoration have been inspected today by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the course of his ordinary working walking trip. He was accompanied by the Mayor of Kazan, Ilsur Metshin, the Aide to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Olesya Baltusova, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Public Utilities of the Republic of Tatarstan, Irek Fayzullin, and the Minister of Culture of Tatarstan, Ayrat Sibagatullin.
Participants of the working trip visited a wooden building of the house owned by the merchant Bigaev on 18 Parizhskaya Communa street restored by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. A tumble-down brick Liter B facility of cultural heritage “The building of the printing house and letter foundry of the Karimovs, 1861” is located in close vicinity. The investor who had purchased this building reassured the President of Tatarstan today saying that the house would be restored despite complexity of the upcoming work.
