More than 300 pieces of work of pupils from republican schools were submitted for the contest in three categories: photos “Islands of wild nature”, drawings “The world of wilderness” and pieces of literature “Lukomorye” (“Curved sea-shore”). The workshop of the Ministry of forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan for holding of the campaign on the basis of analysis of submitted materials declared the winners of the “March of parks 2014” in the course of joint discussion. The winners will be awarded with Diplomas and prizes of the contest.
The contest is primarily aimed at restoration of the superiority of the Republic of Tatarstan among workers of the forest complex and augmentation of professional expertise of the field workers. Teams from the State Budgetary Establishment “Forest” will participate in the contest including choppers qualified as a tree feller or forwarder/harvester operator.
The contest will include several stages: tree felling at the logging area, replacement of the chainsaw chain, crosscutting by a combined run, precise crosscutting, cutting of branchwood and team relay. Following the results of the contest, the national team of Tatarstan will be formed in order to participate in the All-Russian contest that will take place in Kirov.
Acting Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kharis Musin, participated in the briefing devoted to declaration of the special fire safety regime in forests of the Republic.
Kharis Musin told the journalists that due to abnormal heat on the territory of the Republic along with the fifth class of fire danger, preventative measures are taken at the forest fund and terrestrial control along with air patrolling is carried out to control the state of forests.
Kh.G. Musin addressed representatives of mass media asking for assistance in explanation of the rules of human conduct in the forest and restriction of forest visiting and access of motor vehicles.
In the course of the campaign “Nerest-2014” held in compliance with the order of the Ministry of forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan as of April 10th, 2014 No. № 131-osn, state inspectors of the Republic of Tatarstan for nature protection revealed 244 violations of nature protection legislation in water areas of the Republic of Tatarstan. All in all, 98 protocols on administrative violations in compliance with article 8.39 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation were drawn up. Thirty three cases were referred to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan for initiation of legal cases. In the course of the operation, 142 devices of illegal nature use were withdrawn from offenders including 133 nets, as well as 172.4 kg of fish. The fines in the amount of 285 thousand rubles were imposed on individuals for the past period, and the damage worth of 168.6 thousand rubles was brought against offenders.
Special fire safety regime aims at prevention of any threats to lives and health of citizens, damage to the environment and avoidance of considerable financial losses due to abnormal heat on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan and the fifth class of fire danger. Moreover, special fire safety regime has been declared in order to avoid the threat to food safety as a result of dangerous natural phenomenon (“dry hot wind”).
Pupils and teachers of Aldermyshskaya rural secondary school participated in the Saturday work campaign organized by the administration of the State Public Landscape Reserve “Chulpan”. In the course of the Saturday Work Campaign, its participants collected 6 cubic meters of waste on the territory of 15 ha.
Pupils of schools of the Republic of Tatarstan took active part in the nature protection campaign. Special attention was paid to water protection, river coasts and specially protected nature areas. More than 300 people participated in the campaign, and they collected 50.0 mі of waste on the area of about 90.0 ha.
Solid domestic waste was removed by transport companies of municipal authorities.
It is on the territory of the forestry that 350-year-old oaks with trunks of more than 1.5 m in diameter have survived. Seed-production stands have been revealed, and creation of permanent oak seed base has been determined.
That’s why the issue regarding creation of the seed complex for production and storage of acorns in the Republic of Tatarstan is being dealt with together with the Federal Forestry Agency. Research and Production Center “Russian oak forests” can become the international platform for integration of the world knowledge and experience in the field of oak forest recovery.
They inspected the Forest Selection and Seed Centre of the Republic of Tatarstan, tree nursery named after Nurgali Minnikhanov and the sites of reforestation. Then the plenary sitting of the conference took place in the village Leskhoz.
Tomorrow, participants of the conference will visit Kaybitsy forestry, and the program will include inspection of experimental sites of oak plantations, forest nursery and genetic reserve, while continuation of the plenary sitting and research discussion are also on the agenda of the conference.
June 5th is the World Environment Protection Day. Inspectors of the State Public Nature Reserve “Kichke-Tan” under the guidance of the Head, Akhli Fayzullin, and pupils of local school organized an ecological Saturday campaign on the coast of the river Izh. River coasts are paved with glass and plastic bottles, bags, old car tires and rusted car parts – and all that is man-impacted. Having armed with trash bags, participants of the Saturday work campaign cleaned the territory for several hours. Upon completing the work, A.G. Fayzullin addressed the pupils: “We all tried to clean a part of the territory, and it is far from being small. If everyone who cares for our future takes the trouble to find the litter bin, I think we will make our planet cleaner!”
The Saturday work campaign ended with a celebration. Pupils in national Tatar and Udmurt costumes staged a short concert, and then a tea party was held.
