Participants of the International Research and Practice Conference “Relevant issues regarding reforestation in Russia” and the conference “Russian oak forests” visited Kaybitsy Forestry

It is on the territory of the forestry that 350-year-old oaks with trunks of more than 1.5 m in diameter have survived. Seed-production stands have been revealed, and creation of permanent oak seed base has been determined.

That’s why the issue regarding creation of the seed complex for production and storage of acorns in the Republic of Tatarstan is being dealt with together with the Federal Forestry Agency. Research and Production Center “Russian oak forests” can become the international platform for integration of the world knowledge and experience in the field of oak forest recovery.
