The Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nail Magdeev, made a working trip to Sweden and Poland

In the framework of development and implementation of the project “Scientific and Production Center ‘Russian oak forests’” with regard to the issue of studying of the technologies of the long-term storage of acorns of English oak, as well as modern innovation approaches to growing planting material of conifer species, the delegation of the Ministry of the Republic of Tatarstan including the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, N.G. Magdeev, and the Head of the Department of Reforestation and Forest Cultivation under the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, I.N. Zaripova, visited the Republic of Poland and the Kingdom of Sweden.

During the trip, according to the program elaborated together with colleagues from the company ВСС АВ (Sweden) and agreements with colleagues from the Main Office of state forests of the Republic of Poland (Warsaw, Krakow) innovation forest nurseries and the Forest gene bank were visited. In the nursery “Vybitorp” (Sweden), the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan familiarized with the newest technologies of production of ball-rooted micro-nurselings in order to plant them in larger cassettes. The Forest gene bank and the nursery for production of ball-rooted nurselings of English oak were visited in the Republic of Poland.

Head of Russian UN UNIDO projects, B. Melnichuk, participated in the work of the delegation.
