Forest husbandry of the Republic of Tatarstan employs more than two thousand people, including 564 women: heads of the enterprises, engineers, forest experts, workers in nursery gardens, economists, and accountants. All of them are selflessly devoted to forest, and thousands of trees were planted by their caring hands.
While congratulating women on the International Women’s Day, the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nail Magdeev, acknowledged: “This holiday reflects such eternal values as love, beauty, maternity, and loyalty to family traditions. Each of you deserves the words of gratitude and acknowledgement for your work. The forest needs your eye of the master, gifted hands, warmth of your hearts, and the desire to live in beauty and peace”.
Nail Magdeev presented a report “On the prospects of creation of scientific and production center “Oak woods of Russia” and its role in preservation and restoration of oak woods of the Russian Federation” in the assembly hall of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation. The decision on creation of the center “Oak woods of Russia” was made in compliance with the decision of the Council for Development of Forest Complex under the Government of the Russian Federation to the Federal Forestry Agency in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. In 2013, design estimation documentation of the center was elaborated. For these purposes, 15 million rubles were allocated to the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.
This complex will include a nursery-garden for growing of ball-rooted oak seedlings and scientific laboratories, storage of acorns and other facilities. The scientific and production center “Oak woods of Russia” will also provide for storage of the federal fund of oak seeds and insurance seed funds of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
The Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Vladimir Lebedev awarded the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan during the All-Russian meeting “Main results of the forest husbandry work in 2013 and tasks set for 2014” held in Moscow. In such a way, merits of the Republic regarding organization and assurance of forest regeneration in 2013 were acknowledged.
Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Vladimir Lebedev acknowledged in his Letter of Gratitude “active living position, participation in solution of set tasks with regard to development and improvement of the forest field, preparation and upbringing of the young generation” of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
“The Federal Forestry Agency wishes professional victories, stable development and prosperity to the Republic of Tatarstan and hopes for further cooperation”, it is said in the Letter of gratitude.
Representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, heads of the Federal Forestry Agency, heads of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, deputies of the State Duma and members of the Federation Council, representatives of the business community, public organizations and science participate in the meeting.
The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nail Magdeev, will present a report “On the prospects of creation of scientific and production center “Oak woods of Russia” and its role in preservation and restoration of oak woods of the Russian Federation”.
The meeting was held on the Millennium Square gathering the representatives of political parties, public organizations, veterans and youth. The Chairperson of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Mukhametshin, addressed the participants reminding that the deputies of Tatarstan were almost the first to express their concern with the current situation in the Crimea. The State Council of the Republic adopted the Appeal to the peoples of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and sent a parliamentary delegation there. The meetings with the Crimean parliamentarians, and representatives of the Crimean Tatar diaspora are held there.
The Chairperson of the Public Organization “Federation of trade unions of the Republic of Tatarstan” Tatyana Vodopyanova, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan for legitimacy and law and order, Rafil Nugumanov, the Head of the fraction of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. Khafiz Mirgalimov, the Hero of the Soviet Union Boris Kuznetsov also spoke at the meeting.
The resolution was adopted at the end of the meeting.
During the first day of the meeting held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the main issues regarding registration of forest plots in the cadaster are reviewed.
The main subject matter of the meeting agenda implies discussion of the issues of efficient arrangement of interaction of executive authorities of the Russian Federation and regional authorities with the entities of cadaster activity in the context of state cadastral registration and state registration of rights to the real estate objects of the forest fund; the prospects of implementation of the Federal purpose-oriented program “Development of the unified state system of registration of rights and cadastral registration of real estate (2014-2019)” in the field of forest cadaster.
During the Forest Spartakiade that was held in Lubyany village, the team of Agryz forestry was rated the first and was awarded with a mug and a TV set. By the decision of the forestry team, the head forester, A.M. Danilov gave the TV set to Kulegashskaya secondary school of Agryz Municipal District whose pupils engaged in school forestry participated in the ski racing.
During the school celebratory assembly at Kulegashskaya secondary school, management of the forestry solemnly awarded the school team headed by O.A. Tretyakova, head of the school forestry E.V. Yarkeev and active members of school forestry A. Izebaev, A. Subaev, V. Krasnoperov and V. Schekin with an LCD TV set and a certificate of merit of the forestry. Foresters brought a large cake to the pupils for dinner.
Planting of ball-rooted young plants was initiated at the Forest selection and seed center of the Republic of Tatarstan (Saby Municipal District). The first batch of cassettes with elite seeds — that is 1 million of young plants of Norway spruce — took its place in one of the greenhouses of the center.
Seeds are still being planted at the Forest selection and seed center. The Forest selection and seed center provides with planting material with improved hereditary features, ensures stable work of Tatar foresters with regard to forest restoration and forest cultivation, as well as allows to implement new technologies when growing young plants, which will considerably enhance the quality of forests.

In order to evaluate the quality of rendered educational services, Autonomous non-commercial organization, Scientific and Research Institute “Statexpert” carries out annual polls of individuals aimed at detection of educational establishments, whose quality and stability were rated high by respondents. State Budgetary Educational Establishment of the intermediate vocational education “Lubyansky forest engineering college” is among award winners of 2013.
By the order of the Government of the Russian Federation as of 25.12.2011 2359-р, the Federal Budgetary Educational Establishment of the intermediate vocational education “Lubyansky technical school of forest husbandry” was transferred to the Republic of Tatarstan, and it is now subordinate to the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. In 2012, Lubyansky technical school of forest husbandry was transformed into the State Budgetary Educational Establishment of the intermediate vocational education “Lubyansky forest engineering college”. For the last 93 years, the college was preparing forestry specialists. During these years, special professional education here was obtained by 8,822 forest experts, assistants of foresters, forest protection engineers, accountants who mostly work in Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Chuvashia, and Kirov region.
