Nail Magdeev presented a report “On the prospects of creation of scientific and production center “Oak woods of Russia” and its role in preservation and restoration of oak woods of the Russian Federation” in the assembly hall of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation. The decision on creation of the center “Oak woods of Russia” was made in compliance with the decision of the Council for Development of Forest Complex under the Government of the Russian Federation to the Federal Forestry Agency in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. This complex will include a nursery-garden for growing of ball-rooted oak seedlings and scientific laboratories, storage of acorns and other facilities. The scientific and production center “Oak woods of Russia” will also provide for storage of the federal fund of oak seeds and insurance seed funds of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
