The Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nail Magdeev, held a meeting with international experts of UNIDO, namely Boris Melnichuk, coordinator of the project of the Center for International cooperation of UNIDO, Evgeny Dobrovolsky, International expert of UNIDO, and Christian Susan, representative of the headquarters of the UNIDO fund. The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov, participated in the meeting as well. Cooperation of the Republic of Tatarstan with the UNIDO fund was discussed during the meeting with regard to afforestation of the coastal belt (water protection area) of large rivers of the Republic of Tatarstan.

About five hundred people participated in the forest spartakiade that was held in Lubyany (Kukmor municipal district) at the premises of Lubyany forest engineering college. All subordinate establishments of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and school forestries, Kazan subsidiary “Roslesinforg”, “Eastern-European forest experimental station”, teachers and students of the faculty of forestry and ecology of Kazan State Agricultural University and Lubyany forestry engineering college fielded their teams for volleyball, table tennis and arm wrestling competitions in the framework of “Forest ski track 2014”.

Specialized exhibitions “Safety”, “Communications”, “Labor Protection and Safety” as well as the III International Research and Practice Conference “Modern problems of life safety: present and future” will be held in the framework of the forum at the premises of the complex. Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ildar Khalikov, participated in the opening ceremony.

Albina Almieva (department of finances and accounting), Raushania Kamalova (legal department), Niyaz Tazmeev and Nail Mirsiyapov (sector of forest fund protection) represented the team of the Ministry at ski racing competitions held at the premises of the sports complex “Mayak” in Zelenodolsk. Women ran for 1 km, while men ran for 3 km. All in all, 25 teams participated in the competitions.

Traditional forest spartakiade will be held in Lubyany (Kukmor municipal district) on March 2. Subordinate establishments of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan subsidiary “Roslesinforg”, “Eastern-European forest experimental station”, teachers and students of the faculty of forestry and ecology of Kazan State Agricultural University and Lubyany forestry engineering college will field their teams for the ski racing, as well as volleyball and table tennis competitions.

Solemn opening ceremony of the Forest spartakiade will take place at 11.00.

Research work of Daniyar Gatin “Population of Nurlat district. Comparative analysis with other districts of the Republic of Tatarstan” didn’t only turn out to be the only work from Tatarstan, but it also embodied all three scientific trends of the conference: biology, ecology, and geography. The work executed under the leadership of the head of school forestry T.I. Chibidina features detailed analysis of demographic problems and structure of the population, and that’s why this material will soon become a standalone brochure used as a study guide for pupils and teachers of the Republic of Tatarstan. Daniyar Gatin answered all the questions of the jury and his work was highly rated.

A trip to Moscow was possible owing to the help of the Head of Nurlatskoe forestry, I.Yu. Usmanov, who renders active assistance to the pupils of Nurlatskoe school forestry.

The contest will define the best work with regard to law enforcement in the field of forest legislation, and it will be held in 3 stages. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, is holding the meeting with heads of small oil companies of the Republic of Tatarstan. Participants of the meeting will summarize the results of 2013 and discuss the plans for 2014.

          Oil workers are also renting forest plots to conduct geological exploration and build linear facilities. At present, 66 contracts for the lease of forest plots with total area amounting to 797.13 ha are concluded between the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and small oil companies, and projects for forest exploitation were elaborated under 65 contracts for the lease of forest plots with favorable state expert review. 

Almost 130 new leisure areas will be arranged for the spring and summer season at every forestry of the Republic. According to the terms of the contest “The best forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan”, all architectural constructions on the forest territory should be diverse, and they should be located in places convenient for the population.

In 2013, such forest areas were built in the amount of 140, and Kzyl-Yulduzskoe, Bugulminskoe and Menzelinskoe forestries were rated the best.

Results of the social and economic development of the district in 2013 and plans for 2014 are on the agenda of the session. Chairperson of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan F.Kh. Mukhametshin and the Head of Agryz Municipal District, V.V. Makarov, will participate in the session.

Establishments subordinate to the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan work on the territory of Agryz district including Agryz forestry, State Budgetary Establishment “Agryz Forest” and the state nature complex reserve “Kichke-Tan”, which presented their expositions at the Cultural Center where the session is held.
