Doctoral thesis was presented at Bashkir State Agricultural University. Kharis Musin, greatly experienced in practical work at republican forestries, chose to study recreational forest exploitation in the Middle Volga region as the field of his scientific interest. Intensive development of recreational resources along the territories of large cities and industrial centers increases the risk of forest quality diminution. Relevance of the thesis of Kh.G. Musin lies in development of the basis for optimization and balanced use of forests with preservation of natural environment.
The Ph.D. in Agriculture was given to Kh.G. Musin by the order of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation.
Pupils of Narmonskaya rural school (Tetyushi district) visited the State Nature Public Reserve “Dolgaya Polyana”. Experts of the nature reserve made a tour for the pupils around the territory of the nature reserve, familiarized them with nature and sights of this area. The pupils went for a ski trip along deciduous parkways and “Kamennaya” forest meadow. In the large deciduous parkway and the forest meadow they saw fresh traces of animals, and quickly came to a conclusion that those belonged to hear, boar and fox.
Minister of Forestry Nail Magdeev told about automated low-grade wood procurement. 26 thousand cubic metres of wood were procured in 2013. 4.8 cubic metres of wood were procured for Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry in December 2013.
More than 140 pupils from 9 districts of the Republic, scientists, writers, journalists, fine art experts, deputies of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as representatives of the World Congress of the Tatars took part in the conference that was held in Atnya Municipal District.
The program of the conference consisted of 5 sections. Experts of the reserve were included into the panel of judges for ecological section, where reports on ecology were presented. Administration of the State Nature Public Reserve “Ashit” awarded the winners of the Republican Conference with diplomas and souvenirs.
The 38th meeting of the Council of Spassky Municipal District was held at the district cultural center of Bolgar with regard to the results of the social and economic development of the district for 2013 and the tasks set for 2014 with participation of the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Tatarstan, E.N. Fattakhova, Assistant to President of the Republic of Tatarstan for social matters, Executive Director of the Non-commercial organization “Republican Fund of restoration of historical and cultural monuments of the Republic of Tatarstan”, T. P. Larionova, Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Head of the Nature Reserve, Evgeny Kostin, familiarized Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Tatarstan, E.N. Fattakhov, with the nature reserve activity.
The Department of Forestry for the Volga Federal District planned to carry out inspections before the fire season to control compliance of establishments specializing in extinguishing of forest fires with licensing requirements. Moreover, inspections will be carried out at the establishments subordinate to the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan during the entire fire season.
Wood is being prepared at forestries of the Republic for the wood processing plant “Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry”. In order to ensure profitability of forestry production, strobili for seeds are at the same time prepared at wood cutting areas, which will promote fulfillment of the plan for preparation of seeds of the key forest trees in 2014.
In compliance with the order of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, R.N. Minnikhanov, on preparation of blockhouses of orthodox churches elaborated by the State Public Establishment “Kama forestry” and the State Budgetary Establishment “Kama forest” in accordance with designs of the Tatar Metropolia of the Russian Orthodox Church, laying of the church foundation was finished in Albaevo village of Mamadysh Municipal District. The State Public Establishment “Almetyevsk forestry” and the State Budgetary Establishment “Almetles” prepared 150 cubic meters of wood for the purposes of restoration of the church in Lenino village of Novoshehminsk Municipal District. At present, 5 crowns of the large main blockhouse of 26 x 8.4 m in size were cut, and the work on procurement of wood products for construction of floor and ceiling is being carried out.
