Besides the championship of Russia “Wood chopper-2014”, the All-Russian contest of professional excellence “The best in profession-2014” in the category “Best wood chopper” and the international forum “BioKirov-2014” will be held in Kirov region. Each constituent entity will have to present teams comprising 5 people.
During the championship of Russia among tree fellers “Wood chopper-2013”, the team of the Republic of Tatarstan demonstrated high professional excellence in using the gasoline limbing tool and working with advanced tree harvesting machines. It was rated the 6th among 13 participating companies.
In such a way, two mobile brigades of the State Budgetary Establishment “Kaleyles” procure wood on the territory of Sheshminsky and Butinsky local forestries. On the average, during one shift brigades procure 20 cubic meters of wood transported by dragging tractors to the cold deck. At present, the State Budgetary Establishment “Kaleyles” has prepared 2,115 cubic meters of wood, whereof 1,100 cubic meters were delivered to the plant “Castamonu Integrated Wood Industry” OJSC.
The aim of the Interdepartmental preventative operation carried out by the Federal Forestry Agency together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, is to prevent illegal procurement and distribution of wood, detection of the channels for transportation of illegally procured wood and suppression of illegal wood distribution. Raids aimed at inspection of motor transport carrying wood will be conducted everywhere, including forest vegetation and motorways of Tatarstan.
The operation “Timber carrier” will be held until March 31.
Acting Head of the Federal Budgetary Establishment “Avialesokhrana” Vladimir Grishin, heads of executive authorities of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, authorized persons in the field of forest management, including the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in the meeting held by the Head of the Forestry Department, Alexander Ornatsky,.
A. Ornatsky acknowledged that during preparation for the upcoming fire season the main task lies in solution of organizational matters, planning of the events aimed at assurance of fire safety in the forests and prevention of emergency situations related to forest fires. In order to ensure objective evaluation of draft summary plans for extinguishing of forest fires, a workgroup was created at the Department of Forestry for the Volga Federal District that reviewed draft summary plans for forest fire extinguishing and prepared reports in compliance with the established requirements. The summary plan for forest fire extinguishing on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan was coordinated by all relevant authorities and it is to be signed by the Head of the Federal Forestry Agency, V.A. Lebedev.

“Dolgaya Polyana may become the leading sightseeing of Tatarstan”, said the manager of an Austrian company “Kohl&Partner”, Christopher Hinteregger , after visiting the State Nature Public Reserve “Dolgaya Polyana” (Tetyushi Municipal District). The company is engaged in development of touristic strategies for the Western European countries and regions of the Russian Federation. Having familiarized with touristic potential of Tetyushi district, C. Hinteregger acknowledged picturesque landscapes and unique nature monuments located on the territory of the nature reserve noting that all of that makes up potential for implementation of the project to market touristic Tatarstan.

The program is conducted at every municipal district of the Republic, and it is meant for three years. During this period about a hundred local rural clubs and culture centers of Tatarstan should be built or restored. Foresters, fellow workers of state budgetary establishments “Forest”, also make their contribution into program implementation. In 2013, several establishments subordinate to the Ministry designed farm constructions for 46 rural clubs and gave them to constructors having thus fulfilled their part of the presidential program.
Agreements for delivery of wooden constructions (farms) will be concluded by March 1, 2014 with contracting companies. Wood products are now procured at establishments of the Ministry.
Foresters came to the forest recreation area “Oreshnik” together with pupils and teachers of Agryz Correctional Boarding School, where they hung birdhouses all together. With great pleasure the pupils put food for the birds that they had previously taken with them. A live talk with pupils took place in the winter forest. Each participant of the campaign “Let’s feed the birds in winter” received a small sweet present, while Agryz Correctional Boarding School was awarded with a Merit Certificate of Agryz Forestry for active participation in the events devoted to the past Year for Environmental Culture and Nature Protection.
Addressing the children, the head forester of the State Public Establishment “Agryz Forestry”, Afanasy Danilov acknowledged: “The destiny of birds at large depends on kindness, generosity and mercy of a human being. There is a saying: ‘The one who is not hungry is not afraid of the cold’, and that’s why we all should help our feathered friends. They don’t need much. One might give a grain, and the other one might give bread. How many birds we can thus save from starvation to death! Many city dwellers go for a walk to the recreation park “Oreshnik”, and it won’t be a problem for them to take some food for the birds from home. They need our help today like no other creature”.
On the order of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R. Minnikhanov, the objects of cultural heritage in the historical center of Kazan have been restored: the house where the Tatar playwright G. Kamal lived from 1902 to 1933 (48 Narimanova str.), the house adjacent to the Apanaevskaya mosque (31 Nasyri str.), the house of the Isanbaev family (33 Nasyri str.), the house where St. Iosaph Udalov lived (31 Tikhomirnogo str.), the building of the printing house and letter foundry of the Karimov brothers (18 Paris Commune str.).
The house of the merchant I. Alafuzov regained its original appearance (1 Gladilova str.) – it is the largest object of wooden architecture that was included into the Presidential program for restoration of architectural monuments. Craftsmen of Arsk forestry and the State Budgetary Establishment “Archales” are finishing the work on it.
The magazine “Local governance in Tatarstan” is an information and analytical publication of the Council of municipal formations of the Republic of Tatarstan. For the first time this year an interview of the Minister with Chief Editor, Niyaz Akhmadullin, will be published in the issue of the magazine, and it will be devoted to the most burning problems regarding development of forestry in the Republic of Tatarstan.
They held an educational talk with children attending nursery “Ryabinushka” in Tetyushi about birds hibernating in this country, as well as about their usefulness and protection. Children together with their parents made birdhouses for the bird kind. After the meeting, the children hung several birdhouses on the territory of their nursery and agreed that every day they would bring food to feed the birds and observe what birds come to the dining place for birds to enjoy the food. Moreover, they presented 20 birdhouses to the fellow workers of the state nature reserve. Head of the State Nature Public Reserve “Dolgaya Polyana”, V.P. Nikitin, assured the children: “We, the experts, will definitely hang these birdhouses on the territory of the nature reserve “Dolgaya Polyana” ensuring that many more birds will be able to survive the cold and enjoy spring warmth”.
