The market of fir trees became the main site of Novosheshminsk Fair, where fellow workers of the State Public Establishments “Kaleykino Forestry” brought New Year fir trees. About a hundred of downy forest cuties will beautify apartments and houses of the citizens of Novosheshminsk. According to the head-forester Damir Mindrakhmanov, the citizens of Kaleykino also gave their presents to the children – fir trees will be the center of the holiday at every school and nursery of the district, whereto they were gratuitously brought by foresters.

At the end of the Year for Environmental Culture and Nature Protection, an ecological and educational campaign “Lesson of cleanliness” was held at secondary educational establishments all over the Republic.

Experts of the wildlife sanctuary “Spassky” talked at Bulgar Correctional Barding School of Spassky Municipal District about the importance of environmental ecology, and the events held in order to preserve natural wealth of the district and the Republic. Children responded to the quiz questions with pleasure and asked the experts a lot of questions of interest.

During 2013 they frequently visited all the schools of Agryz. Following the results of the year, the State Public Establishments “Agryz Forestry” (head-forester A.M. Danilov) chose the most active school, namely the Municipal Budgetary Educational Establishment, Secondary School No. 3 named after Tazy Gizzat. Memorable prizes and Certificate of Merit from the Forestry were presented to the School Principal R.S. Farkhutdinova.

On December 20, during the Lesson of Cleanliness, Deputy Head of Agryz Forestry Vladimir Ishmuratov and forest expert Tatyana Egorova conducted an ecological talk together with a school teacher Ilzida Gerasimova and arranged a competition for the best bird feeder “Dining room for birds” and best drawings “Let’s leave the fir tree in the forest”.  

At the meeting of the Committee of the Federation Council on Agricultural and Food Policy and Management of Natural Resources, the issues of forestland development were considered along with a plan of action on implementation of the Foundations of the State Policy in the field of use, protection and recovery of forests in the Russian Federation until 2030. The participants worked on recommendations to specialized ministries with regard to the matters of conservation, enhancement of efficiency and augmentation of forest resources of Russia.

Specialists of the state nature sanctuaries of the Republic all year long gave their lessons and made topical presentations at nurseries and schools. The main thing is that following “Lessons of cleanliness” the necessity of careful attitude to the environment took hold in the pupils’ consciousness. The lessons were given in the form of intellectual games and quizzes, questions for pupils devoted to the knowledge of nature and fauna, and useful activities on beautification of springs and planting of trees.

The lecture “Nature in winter” was given by the expert of sanctuary “Zeya Buylary” L.N. Safina for attendees of nurseries and pupils of the Municipal Budgetary Educational Establishment “Boarding vocational school” (school for talented children) of Buinsk. It seems like forest has calmed down and sleeps covered in soft snowy blanket. How do animals and birds live in winter? Who are they? Pupils answered the quiz questions and thought how experts of sanctuaries who protect the peace of winter nature and feed elks, forest giants and birds who hibernate in the country can help the forest and its dwellers.

On this December 20, the Committee will hold the “round table” “On enhancement of efficiency of forest complex” to discuss the matters regarding execution of the order of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation “On the measures of reformation of forest husbandry of the Russian Federation” and implementation of measures of the state program “Development of forestry for 2013-2020”.

In the course of nature protection campaign “Feed the birds in winter!” they built bird feeders and hung them near their houses and on the school territory. This good deed was initiated by school teachers L.R. Mannanov, D.V. Gaffarov, R.N. Ginniuatullin. Specialists of the State nature sanctuary “Ashit” helped them. They prepared presentation on how birds help forests, and which fodder is considered appropriate for the bird kind.

Several establishments subordinate to the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan bring New Year fir trees to the capital of the Republic to sell them at fairs and fir tree markets. All in all, this year, foresters plan to sell almost 24 thousand pieces of pines and fir trees of 39.5 tons of fir twigs prepared at the cutting units. 3.5 thousand trees have already been sold.
