Registration for the VII Championship of Russia “Lumberjack of the XXI century” starts in February
Registration for the 7th Russian Championship “Lumberjack of the XXI century” starts in February. Competitions will traditionally take place in the Ustyansky district of the Arkhangelsk region. This year they will be held from 10 to 13 August.
Last year, teams and individual participants represented the Arkhangelsk, Vladimir, Vologda, Irkutsk, Kirov, Kostroma, Krasnoyarsk, Leningrad, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Tver, Yaroslavl regions, the Republics of Karelia and Komi. In addition, for the first time, a team from Belarus participated in the competition.
One of the advantages of the championship is the fleet of new forestry equipment. During the registration for the competition, teams of professional lumberjacks choose any brand of machine for performances. In 2021, 17 models were offered to choose from, at the same time, more than 100 brands of global and Russian manufacturers of forestry and road equipment were presented at the exhibition site of the championship.
It was last year that the organizers decided for the first time to introduce monetary rewards instead of cars - the total prize fund of the competition amounted to more than 12,000,000 rubles. And the winners in the team standings in 2021 were representatives of Ilim Group JSC.
The championship is organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Federal Forestry Service, the Government of the Arkhangelsk Region, and the Association “Lumberjack of the XXI Century”.
