The spring stage of the environmental action “Clean forests of Tatarstan” has started in the republic
Today in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republican environmental action “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” has started. This year it will be held in 2 stages: from April 18 to June 18 and from September 12 to November 12.
As part of the spring stage of the action, the territory of the forest fund will be cleared of solid municipal waste, deadwood, and fallen trees, as well as the repair and arrangement of full houses, information boards, and recreation areas in the forest.
The work will be carried out by specialists from subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, organizations, enterprises of the republic, representatives of environmental associations, students of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, and volunteers.
Recall that the Republican environmental campaign “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” has been held since 2010. Its main goal is to create a favorable sanitary and environmental situation in the forests, form an ecological culture and foster a caring attitude towards nature, and unite the initiatives of citizens, organizations, enterprises, and government authorities in environmental protection.
For example, in 2021, about 20,000 people joined the Clean Forests of Tatarstan campaign. As a result of the action, 2,000 cubic meters of solid domestic waste were collected and removed from the forest fund of the republic, 24 springs were improved, 230 full houses, information boards, and 175 recreation places for citizens staying in the forests were repaired. In addition, 3,000 cubic meters of deadwood and deadwood were collected and piled in heaps for rotting.
