In the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan, work was completed on sowing the third rotation of seeds of coniferous species within the framework of the regional project “Preservation of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” of the federal project “Preservation of forests” of the national project “Ecology”.
“7 people were involved in the work. In total, 2 million seeds of Scotch pine were sown,” said Azat Zinnatullin, director of the center. “Seedlings of the first and second rotation are also gaining strength in the fields. Their condition is assessed as good.”
Recall that the production capacity of the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan is 12 million seedlings from ZKS per year. The center occupies an area of 11.3 hectares, on which there are 4 greenhouses, 13 nursery fields, a cooling and storage building for seedlings, 2 warehouses, etc. The LSSC RT is equipped with modern equipment from the Swedish company VSS AV.
