Rosleskhoz: from March 1, 2023, LesEGAIS users will be able to promptly update the entered data
The innovation is aimed at optimizing the work of forest users in the wood accounting system.
Vyacheslav Spirenkov, Deputy Head of the Federal Forestry Agency, explained that users will be able to quickly make the necessary changes to LesEGAIS without waiting for the system operator to process applications for changes, as is happening now.
“This will save a lot of time. The forest user will be able to independently change the data in the timber accounting system if an error was made when entering the information. In this case, each edit will be fixed in time and displayed in the program. It will not work to deceive the system and intentionally enter incorrect data. The turnover of wood in warehouses is under special control of the department,” commented Vyacheslav Spirenkov.
He added that Rosleskhoz is in direct dialogue with representatives of the forest industry. At the request of forest users, the department has developed an alternative option for fixing vehicles entering or leaving the timber warehouse. This is a paper data log*.
“We do not intend to slow down the gained momentum and continue to work on the digitalization of control over the turnover of wood. In some regions, there are forest users who cannot currently provide warehouses with electronic means for technical reasons. First of all, the introduction of paper media was designed and adapted specifically for them. The transition to “digital” should not cause difficulties and therefore provides for phased measures,” added Vyacheslav Spirenkov.
As Natalia Veselova, Acting Head of the Department for the Development of Information Systems and the State Forest Registry of Rosleskhoz, recalled, from March 1, 2023,**, information on marking wood, places for its storage, timber processing facilities, machines intended for felling and transportation of wood, the actual volume of wood received in the cutting area.
