The Department of Forestry in the Volga Federal District discussed suppression and prevention of illegal logging

The Department of Forestry PFD held a meeting of the interdepartmental commission to address issues of suppression and prevention of illegal logging in the territory of the forest fund of RF subjects within the limits of the Volga Federal District. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian President in the Volga Federal District , the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District , State Ministry of Interior of Russia on the PFD.

         In the period from 10 February to 31 March 2014 in 8 subjects of the Russian Federation Region ( Republic of Bashkortostan, Mari El , Mordovia, Tatarstan , Udmurtia , Perm, Kirov , Nizhny Novgorod region) held interagency operational- preventive action " Timber ". During this time, 329 cases were identified transportation timber with no set of documents ( the largest number of cases observed in the Perm region - 156, in the republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan such cases have been identified ) .
