The Republic of Tatarstan will participate in the All-Russian campaign “Parkway of Russia”

The campaign of the Fund of Nature is aimed at fostering of the spirit of patriotism and ecological culture in the citizens of the country. A preliminary list of plants, symbols of Tatarstan, has been made at the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, and it has been submitted to the steering committee of the campaign. The list is headed by English oak, which is the main forest forming species. Such trees as fir tree, birch, mountain ash, hawthorn, snowball, juniper, lilac, mountain pine and many others have been included into the list.
Only two-three symbolic plants will remain in the list after coordination with the steering committee, and they will be submitted to the popular vote. Online voting will start on July 1st and the voting will last until August. The opening of the Parkway of Russian will take place in September on the Day of Forestry Workers — the trees chosen by popular voting will be planted.
