Protection of fish from oxygen deficiency

Experts of the nature reserve “Spassky” along with an ichthyologist of the Federal State Budgetary Establishment “Srednevolzhrybvod” carried out reclamation work on lakes that are the monuments of nature, namely ‘Chistoe”, “Bezymyannoe”, “Atamanskoe”, located in the  “Tri ozera” (“Three lakes”) village of Spassky municipal district in order to protect fish from oxygen deficiency. More than 60 ice-holes were made on lakes using an ice-axe through a thick layer of ice, and they were filled with straw to ensure oxygen access and to prevent freezing in order to save lives of many underwater inhabitants.
