Academician Ahmadullah Gazizullin turned 85

Ahmadullah Khadievich Gazizullin is a known research forester, academician of the International Higher Education Academy of Sciences, Professor, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Honored Forester of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan.

Ahmadullah Gazizullin was one who initiated the opening in 2000 in Kazan the Faculty of Forestry at the State Academy of Agriculture. In 2002 he was elected as the Head of Forestry and Forest Plantations Chair that was then reorganized into the Department of Forestry and Timber Industry Economics. He was engaged in the great research on the effectiveness of partial cutting in the forests of Tatarstan. In 2003, being one of the foresters of the Sabinsky Forest Establishment, he was awarded the Tatarstan’s State Prize in Science and Technology for the development and introduction of the advanced clear cutting.

In 2010, under the leadership of Academician Gazizullin, at the premises of the educational experimental Sabinsky Forest Establishment, 13 scientific papers, two of which belong to the scientists of St. Petersburg Forest Engineering Academy, have been carried out.

Currently, under his leadership in the Forest Breeding and Seed Center in vitro scientific laboratory was organized, and the work to establish experimental forest plantations on the basis of the planting material cloning of aspen species valuable genotypes is carried out.
