Initially, in Arkatovo Village of Pestrechinsky District there was a spring where the locals come for taking water for household needs. Later, ill people of different faiths began to come to the spring asking for healing. In 2001 it was decided to erect the baptismal chapel near the spring to administer the Baptism of Christ to adults and children of seven and over. The charity givers helped to restore the chapel, and people made their donations. The chapel was built by the employees of Laishevskoye Forestry with the active participation of the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Almas Nazirov.
