Employees of State Public Institution "Prigorodnyi Forest District" together with the State Budgetary Institution "Training and Experimental Prigorodnyi Forestry Enterprise" carry out cleaning of fallen trees and soil preparation in Stolbishchenskiy and Matyushinskiy forest districts. These forest areas in the summer of this year were badly damaged by the hurricane.

"After the hurricane, we removed the fallen trees and uprooted the stumps. At this site we are preparing the soil, making furrows, which also contribute to natural renewal. Next year, we plan to plant new trees here", said Forestry Officer of Matyushinskiy forest district Nursil Gibadullin.

Thus, for several years on the sites where the hurricane has passed, destroying forest plantations, a young, viable, healthy forest will grow. It is planned to plant the main forest-forming coniferous species - European spruce and common pine.

One of the significant and large-scale events held at the initiative of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan is the Republican environmental campaign "Clean Forests of Tatarstan". It has already become traditional and is annually held in two stages – in the spring and autumn period, gaining increasing popularity among the population.

On September 15, 2018 the autumn stage "Clean forests of Tatarstan" started. Specialists of forestry, together with representatives of horticultural associations and tenants of forest areas, will take measures to clean the forests from solid household waste, and dead wood harvesting. Every year, employees of all departments and ministries of the Republic, universities, secondary and special educational institutions take active part in the campaign.

This year, during the spring stage, nature defenders collected and removed 2,410 cubic meters of solid waste, deadwood and dead trees. The purpose of environmental protection measures is to create a favorable sanitary and ecological situation in the forests of Tatarstan.

This is the end of the "Forest Week" environmental campaign. Summing up the results of this campaign, young foresters of school forestry "Green patrol" of the Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution "Yutazinskaya secondary educational school", showed themselves actively. The guys decided to sum up the week by mass cleaning of domestic garbage on the Narat Chishmese spring. Thus, the children showed their respect for nature.

Also, the schoolchildren collected the fruits of mountain ash, some of which after processing will go to the autumn sowing of the nursery of State Budgetary Institution "Bugulminskiy Forestry Enterprise". And the young foresters decided to leave the other part of the fruit for birds, after all, one will not have time to look back, and it will be a cold season, these fruits will go to fodder feed.

After the completion of work, the guys sat in the summerhouse in the open air and admired the beauty of the coming autumn. And the forestry officers treated the schoolchildren with hot tea and sweets.

Today, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan summed up the results of the republican environmental campaign "Forest Week-2018". During the week from 8 to 14 September, forestry staff and forestry enterprise workers, volunteers and residents of the republic took an active part in this campaign. During the campaign cleaning took place in forest parks and forest areas adjacent to settlements. Solid household waste, dead wood and fallen trees in a volume of 1,150 cubic meters were collected and exported. Also, within the framework of the campaign, an acorn gathering with a volume of 300 kg was held and 68 environmental lessons were conducted in general schools.

The Republican Environmental Campaign "Forest Week-2018" is conducted by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan in order to create a favorable sanitary and ecological situation in the forests located on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as to cultivate a careful attitude to forest and in accordance with Decree No. 2239-r of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan dated August 23, 2018.

On October 6, a massive planting of trees will take place, within the framework of which it is planned to lay out memorable plantings, alleys and squares in all municipal districts of Tatarstan - it is planned to plant 1.3 million new trees. Meanwhile, the clearing of forest territories is not over yet, in the near future the "Clean forests of Tatarstan" campaign starts, foresters call the inhabitants of the republic for general cleaning.

The solemn event was held on September 15, 2018 in Korston Hotel trade and entertainment complex. The Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Russia, the Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Ivan Valentik, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov visited the exhibition of forestry achievements of the republic. In particular, the Sabinskiy Forestry Enterprise presented the exposition where the products of the wood processing complex were exposed - wood flour, and the products of side use - honey, wooden utensils, phyto-tea.

"I am very pleased when coming to the region one can see a sincere attitude towards the forest. In Tatarstan, the forest industry is developing very well with the support of Rustam Minnikhanov, whose father was a well-known forester. Your forest is in safe hands", Ivan Valentik noted.

Within the framework of the exhibition there was an exposition of the University of Innopolis. A prototype of geo-information service for monitoring and control of Tatarstan Forest Fund for space images is presented for forestry specialists (within the framework of the Digital Model of the Republic of Tatarstan project). At present, with the example of the Zainskiy forest area of ​​58,890 hectares, 1,456 objects with the boundaries of allotment of plots, 406 objects of forest pathology and burns, and other objects have been digitized.

In a welcoming speech to forestry workers A.V. Pesoshin noted: "People who are really devoted to business have always worked and work in the forestry. Each of the workers of the forestry sector is worthy of kind words and respect. You invest a lot of labor, love and care in improving the ecological situation in the republic. Therefore, foresters can rightfully be called the guardians of the future", the Prime Minister of Tatarstan said.

Then Aleksey Pesoshin presented state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to advanced forestry workers.

By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the honorary title "Honored Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan" for merits in the development of forestry of the Republic and long-term fruitful work was conferred to:

 Guliullin Ravil Ganeevich - the Precinct Forester of Chulpanikhinskiy district forestry of State Public Institution "Privolzhskiy Forest District";

Safin Damir Nurlygatovich - Engineer-mechanic of the State Budgetary Institution "Training and Experimental Sabinskiy Forestry Enterprise";

The honorary title "Honored Lawyer of the Republic of Tatarstan" for merits in professional work and contribution to forestry development of the republic was conferred to:

Zaitseva Marina Vyacheslavovna - the Head of the Legal Department;

The honorary title "Honored Worker of Transport of the Republic of Tatarstan" for services in providing transport services to the forestry sector of the Republic and long-term conscientious work was conferred to:

Galyautdinov Gabbas Abdullovich - the Driver of the fire-chemical station of the third type of State Budgetary Institution "Forest fire center of Tatarstan";

By Order of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Commendation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan for many years of fruitful work, a great contribution to the development of forestry in the Republic of Tatarstan was awarded to: Guskov Evgeniy Aleksandrovich, Chairman of the Public Council of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation was conferred to:

Today in Kazan within the framework of the professional holiday - the Day of Forest Workers, solemn presentation of new official use vehicles to the forestry workers of the republic took place on the square in front of the State Great Concert Hall named after Saidashev. The forest managers and the directors of the forestry enterprises received the vehicles VAZ-21214 and UAZ-390945 in the quantity of 64 units. In a solemn atmosphere, the keys to cars were handed by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation - Head of the Federal Forestry Agency -  Ivan Valentik.

The event was also attended by the Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov and the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksandr Shadrikov.

In the course of his speech, the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulates the foresters of Tatarstan on a professional holiday and stresses that forestry workers make a huge contribution to the preservation and enhancement of forest resources. "Day of forester is the most beautiful holiday for forest villages and we have preserved these traditions. Today we give such gifts to the forestry departments so that your work becomes of a better quality, you would have more comfortable working conditions and would be able to respond quickly to different challenges. I hope these vehicles will help to facilitate your work, it was for this purpose that these gifts were made", - said the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Also, the President of Tatarstan thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Federal Forestry Agency for the support provided to the republic.

As the Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Ivan Valentin noted, Tatarstan had managed to preserve the best traditions of forestry, the traditional forest management system and the prestige of the forestry profession. "The Republic takes serious care to ensure that your work is worthy. And this gift, which is being presented to you today by the Government of Tatarstan, is proof of this. Not in every region of our country we see such serious and deep attention to the issues of forestry", said the Head of Rosleskhoz Ivan Valentik.

He added that the federal agency will continue to promote forestry in Tatarstan. So, next year financing of this branch will be increased by more than 20 million rubles. During the speech, it was announced about the possibility of appearance of a fire-chemical station of the third type in one of the regions of the republic, about financing additional sanitary and health measures and a number of other issues.

Then, the President of Tatarstan and the Head of the Federal Forestry Agency handed over the keys of 64 new off-road vehicles to the forest managers and directors of the forestry enterprises. These vehicles will allow state forest inspectors to perform their work duties for the protection and control of forest areas in a fire hazardous season in hard-to-reach areas of the forest fund, and these vehicles will allow more efficient forest management. Totally about 140 million rubles were allocated for the renewal of the vehicle park and forestry equipment of the republican industry in the current year. In the end, the Head of the Forestry Department of the Arskiy forest district thanked for the gifts received on behalf of all foresters.

Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, met today with Ivan Valentin, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation - the Head of the Federal Forestry Agency (Rosleskhoz). The parties considered issues of cooperation in the field of effective use of forest resources, modernization of the industry, and also discussed joint activities for forests protection and reproduction. During the meeting, the Head of the Federal Forestry Agency, Ivan Valentik, presented Rustam Minnikhanov with a departmental decoration "For saving and increasing the forest wealth of Russia". The meeting was held in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan with the participation of the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Albert Nafigin, the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksandr Shadrikov and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. In addition, within the framework of his visit to Kazan, Ivan Valentik will take part in the solemn ceremony of presenting new official use vehicles to forestry workers of the republic, as well as visit a festive event at the Korston Hotel trade and entertainment complex, timed to the Day of Forest Workers.

High results can be achieved thanks to the support of Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan. Vehicle fleet has been renewed, forestry equipment has been purchased. Forestry works are conducted using modern technologies. Defensive forest plantations have been created on degraded lands. Reforestation work has successfully completed. The second meeting of school forest districts of the Republic of Tatarstan has been held. Throughout the firefighting period, we guard our forests around the clock, for 8 years in Tatarstan the situation with forest fires has been kept in check!

Nurlatskiy forest district actively joined the "Forest Week - 2018" nature protection campaign. As part of this event, the recreational areas on the highway have been renewed, weed grass has been cut. Garbage in the volume of 4 cubic meters has also been collected, in the same amount deadwood has been removed. Not only the workers of the Nurlatskiy forest district, the forest rangers of all district forestry departments, but also schoolchildren were involved in the process.
