Ravil Kuzyurov got acquainted with the state of affairs in the State Public Institution "Elabuzhskiy Forest District" and the State Budgetary Institution "Elabuzhskiy Forestry Enterprise". The Minister inspected the forest nursery for growing planting material. This nursery is one of the largest in Tatarstan, its area is 18 hectares. Here, besides the main forest-forming species, there are rare breeds such as Crimean pine, Japanese spiraea and mahonia. During the trip, the Minister also examined the facilities of the National Park "Lower Kama".
After the inspection of the facilities, Ravil Kuzyurov held a meeting with the staff of forest district and forestry enterprise, at which issues of financial and economic activities of the institutions and staffing of forestry in the republic were discussed.
Today, the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan visited Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry plant in the Alabuga SEZ . Ravil Kuzyurov met with representatives of the Turkish company and held a working meeting on the pricing of wood supplied to the woodworking plant.
It should be recalled that the MDF board manufacturing plant was put into operation in 2013 in the territory of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone, which was a great help in the development of the allowable cutting area, increasing the profitability of forestry, updating the stand and improving the breed composition in the forests of the Republic of Tatarstan.
On August 23, 2018 Kukmor hosted the August meeting of educators and scientists with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. As part of the working visit, the President inspected the exhibition of the forest cluster of the SBPEI "Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College", located on the site in front of the Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution "Multifield Lyceum named after A.M. Bulatov", which was presented by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. The President was told about the achievements of the Lubyanskiy College. Students are bronze medalists of World Skills in the field of Landscape Design. Also Rustam Nurgalievich was shown master classes narrating about the life of the college: the lesson of dendrology using herbariums, the possession of modern geodetic instruments, artistic production of vine products, decorative wood carving, and the technology of timber crib cutting.
To date, Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College is the only secondary special educational institution in Tatarstan that trains qualified and demanded forestry specialists.
At the moment, the admission campaign - 2018 - continues in the college. The training is conducted in four directions: "Forest and Forest Park Economy", "Garden and Park Construction and Landscaping", "Economics and Accounting", "Hunting and Fur farming". Over 97 years of history, the Lubyanskiy Forestry Technical School has trained more than 9,000 forestry specialists. At the end of the tour, the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, wished the Minister successes, and the college a 100 percent recruitment of students.
State forest inspectors of the Republic of Tatarstan continue work to identify owners of land plots bordering the forest. In accordance with the current forest legislation, from the date of the snow cover melting till the establishment of stable rainy autumn weather, legal entities regardless of their organizational and legal forms and forms of ownership, peasant (farm) enterprises, public associations, individual entrepreneurs, officials, citizens of the Russian Federation , who own, use and (or) dispose the territory adjacent to the forest, must ensure its clearing from dry grassy vegetation, stubble residues, fallen trees, forest residues, waste and other combustible materials in the area with width of at least 10 meters of fire mineralized band with width of at least 0.5 meters, or other fire barrier.
In connection with the beginning of the harvesting company in the fields of our Republic, heads of agricultural organizations and peasant farms are warned by state forest inspectors of the Republic of Tatarstan about the inadmissibility of law violations, in respect of compliance with the Fire Safety Rules in forests, taking exhaustive measures to prevent uncontrolled burning, being potential cause of forest fires and associated emergency situations.
Since the beginning of the year, state forest inspectors issued more than 700 warnings.
Employees of the SPI "Zelenodolskiy Forest District" conducted a clean-up in the coastal strip and along the beach area, which borders the forest fund, on the area of over 15 hectares. More than 30 cubic meters of garbage was collected during the environmental campaign. Cleaning was carried out together with the activists of the project "Forest sanitary assistants". The main participants of the project were the pupils and students, who in their free time, at first, got an opportunity to engage in socially useful labor, and secondly, they cleared the forest and the beach from household waste.
Topics of scientific works on forest management were approved for their further development at the Meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was attended by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov, representatives of forest science, members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Forestry and the experts of the Ministry. Concluding the meeting, R.A. Kuzyurov expressed the hope that the scientific developments in the field of forestry will help to improve forest management in the Republic of Tatarstan, and will be put into production.
Meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council is held at least once a quarter. It is aimed to determine the priority areas of scientific and technical activities in the field of forest relations, nature management and environmental protection.
In the run-up to the inventory of forest cultures and planting stock, specialists of state budgetary institutions – forestry enterprises - are working in permanent nurseries to improve the quality and quantity of planting material. In particular, at present the regular crop tending is carried out for 1, 2, 3-year-old seedlings. This care can be carried out either manually, using herbicides, or by using the necessary equipment.
In particular, the employees of the Arskiy forestry enterprise are in a hurry to complete the weeding of forest cultures of 1-3 years of age, while the weather is favorable in the area. The crops are sown to create favorable conditions for the growth and development of seedlings.
On August 18, in Cheboksary (Chuvashia), a bright event took place - a logging contest of wood fellers "Logger of Zavolzhie - 2018", timed for the celebration of the City Day. Teams from different regions such as Tatarstan, Mari El and Nizhny Novgorod were invited to participate in the competition. As part of the competition, the participants carried out operations on tree felling, bucking of combined cuts, precise bucking, and trimming of branches.
The team of the Republic of Tatarstan was represented by loggers from the State Budgetary Institution “Nurlatskiy Forestry Enterprise”. Oleg Alekseev took the third place in the disciplines of "Tree felling", and also in the personal standings he won 3rd place by the results of all competitions. In the discipline of "Bucking the combined cuts" Aleksandr Murtazin took the 3rd place. Nikolay Grishakov took the third place in the discipline "Precise bucking".
Within the volunteer year, the staff of the State Public Institution “Kaleikinskiy Forest District” jointly with the State Budgetary Institution “Kaleikinskiy Forestry Enterprise” in the forest fund of the Butynskiy District Forestry conducted a campaign "We will make the forest cleaner", during which they cleaned the forest territory adjacent to the railway station Kaleikino of Almetyevskiy district of the Republic of Tatarstan on the area of 1.5 hectares.
A charitable campaign "Help to get ready for school" is held in Tatarstan not for the first time. Employees of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan this year also supported a good tradition. In particular, the employees of the State Public Institution “Menzelinskiy Forest District” took part in the event, making their contribution to this charity event.
Financial means were used to purchase school uniform and modern backpacks, with all the necessary supplies for learning. These sets of first-graders were sent for children from large and low-income families. A theatrical performance and a concert were organized for toddlers as well. Young schoolchildren were satisfied. The children were wished successful study, and parents - patience, understanding and more reason for pride for their children.
