The Championship is organized by the Republic of Karelia Government, Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Russian Federation, Russian Union of Timber Industrialists and Exporters, Federal Forestry Agency.

By the result of regional competitions the team of the Republic of Tatarstan is comprised of forestry machine operators of State Budgetary Institution “Scientific-experimental Sabinskiy district forestry” and tee fellers of State Budgetary Institution “Nurlatskiy forestry”: Ivanov Valeriy Nikolaevich – a harvester operator of State Budgetary Institution “Scientific-experimental Sabinskiy district forestry”; Kondratyev Valeriy Mikhailovich – a forwarder operator of State Budgetary Institution “Scientific-experimental Sabinskiy district forestry”; Marinin Stanislav Viktorovich – a tree feller of State Budgetary

Institution “Nurlatskiy forestry”; Grishakov Nikolay Lavrentyevich – a tree feller of State Budgetary Institution “Nurlatskiy forestry”; Alekseev Oleg Nikolaevich – a tree feller of State Budgetary Institution “Nurlatskiy forestry”; Adeev Fidail Nailevich - a tree feller of State Budgetary Institution “Nurlatskiy forestry” (junior).

The Russian competitions are held in strict compliance with requirements of International Association Logging Championships. The participants will compete by the following disciplines: tree felling, chain replacement, crosscutting with combined run, crosscutting for accuracy, trimming and relay race.

At present 133 people from 26 regions of the country and Belarus stated willingness to participate in the competition. 67 tree fellers and 20 harvester and forwarder operators will gather together in the center of Petrozavodsk: bench exercises and competition of forwarder operators will be held in the Kirov square, and in the square of Spartak stadium the participants will be engaged in tree felling and show their skills of harvesters operation.

Such professional events are focused on upgrading of service jobs prestige, improvement of professional skills and working methods, as well as development of personnel qualification.

A review contest for the best forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan was held for the purposes of promotion of forests ecological value, forests Save and Grow, upgrading of measures aimed at preservation and strengthening of forests benefits, sustainability, regeneration of forests, increasing capacity, biological diversity conservation of ecosystems. Level of forestry management, improvement of forest area, availability of hardscaping and fire-fighting advocacy means, leading of explanatory and preventive works aimed at forest fires prevention and many other factors were considered in the contest.

As a result of works of the year 2017 the following winners were recognized by the contest committee:

State public institution “Sabinskiy forestry” – 1 place

State public institution “Prigorodnyi forestry” – 2 place

State public institution “Arskiy forestry” – 3 place

The commission also pointed out active participation in the contest of: “Agryzskiy forestry”, “Aksubaevskiy forestry”, “Bavlinskiy forestry”, “Bilyarskiy forestry”, “Bugulminskiy forestry”, “Elabuzhskiy forestry”, “Zelenodolskiy forestry”, “Kamskiy forestry”, “Kzyl-Yulduzskiy forestry”, “Laishevskiy forestry”, “Mamadyshskiy forestry”, “Nizhnekamskiy forestry”, “Nurlatskiy forestry”, “Privolzhskiy forestry”, “Tetyushskiy forestry” and “Lubyanskiy forestry”.

In Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution “Lyceum No 4 of Aznakay town” the experts of state natural reserve “Chatyr-Tau” conducted environmental event where they told children about specially protected nature areas of Aznakayevskiy municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan, about tasks and objectives of the nature reserve activity, as well as about biodiversity of animal and vegetal life, about the significance of the Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan. It should be noted that the lyceum lecturers cooperate closely with the nature reserve specialists. It results in holding of joint environmental campaigns, Forest lessons during the whole academic year. The lyceum lecturers were awarded with Letters of gratitude of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan for fruitful and longstanding work on environmental education.

Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan arranges focused and continuous works on schoolchildren vocational guidance. Primary focus is given to school forestry divisions where children are taught to love and preserve nature, acquire new skills and knowledge. The number of those who wishes to take care of forests, to join forester profession is increasing constantly. At present more than thousands of children are engaged in school forestry division in the territory of the republic. So the new academic year has come, new knowledge on green wealth of our planet, participation in forests planting campaigns, plantation maintenance in the schoolyards are waiting for in future.

Efficient arrangement of activity of school forestry divisions assists in future professional identity of children. So the children enter Kazan State Agrarian University and Lubyany Forest Engineering College to study forestry management.

This year 98 first-year students entered “Forestry and Ecology” department of Kazan State Agrarian University. 19 of which – on employer-sponsored education. It should be noted that “Forest science” is of great popularity among this department specialties (41 students).

Notwithstanding that the studies have already started, Lubyany Forest Engineering College continues to intake students and invites anyone to study forestry. The educational institution has several vacant state-financed openings. Intake of students will continue till the end of November.

Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan А.А. Nazirov

Hereby the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan informs that on September 14, 2017 an auction for sale of the right to the subjects of small and medium entrepreneurship for forest plantations sale and purchase agreement conclusion, located in the area of forest fund of Bugulminskiy, Kamskiy and Tetyushskiy forestry districts, will be conducted. Inspectors of State integrated nature reserve “Baltasinskiy” together with the employees of veterinary service of Baltasinskiy district conducted an ecological quiz with children, devoted to the Year of specially protected areas. The children got acquainted with problems and life of Baltasinskiy nature reserve, natural monuments of the district. Active participants and winners were awarded with certificates and memorable gifts.

A Forest Protection Engineer N.V.Mitakov and a Forest guard of Chulpanovskiy forestry division N.M.Faskhutdinov conducted a Lesson of Forest in children’s recreation camp “Zarechnyi”, located in the forest fund of State Public Institution “Nurlatskiy forestry”. 25 children participated in the event. The topic of the lesson was careful attitude toward nature, compliance with fair and sanitary rules in forests.

On August 23, 2017 there was a live talk on Tatarstan television channels devoted to the rules of behavior in the forests, on preventive measures and procedures taken to prevent the occurrence of forest fires. The Head of state control and supervision department N.M. Tazmeev and the Head of the State Budgetary Institution "Forest fire center" A.F. Ahmerov participated in the programs "Actual conversation" and "Theme". Let us recall that in connection with the establishment of a high class of fire danger in the forests on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan "On restriction of citizens’ stay of in forests and the entry of vehicles into forests" No. 2074-r dated August 19, 2017 was adopted.

The Head of the department for the forests regeneration and afforestation, T.R. Galiev, speaking at a meeting of the Federal Forestry Agency under the chairmanship of the Head of the Federal Forestry Agency I.V. Valentik told about the experience of protective forest plantations creation on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. During his speech, T.R. Galiev noted that the Republic of Tatarstan had an industrial program "Forestry Development of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2014-2020", which was approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan No. 531 dated July 30, 2013. On the basis of this program, the Ministry annually conducts works on the creation of protective anti-erosion plantations on the area of not less than 2 thousand hectares. At present, the total area of available protective forest plantations in the republic amounts to over 138 thousand hectares. Only for the last 7 years such plantations have been created on the area of about 16 thousand hectares.
