In order to foster careful attitude to one of the main resources of the country, the Russian forest, to enhance prestige of the forester profession, to draw public attention to the problems of conservation, reproduction and augmentation of forest resources on May 14, 2016 the traditional republican campaign “Day of Tree Planting” was held.

About 30 thousand residents of the republic took part in this campaign, and 1.3 million pieces of different planting material were planted on an area of ​​350 hectares. The campaign was supported by civil servants and employees of the Office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, deputies of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tatarstan, all ministries, departments, judicial bodies, teachers and students of educational institutions. It should be noted that every year more and more volunteers join to the Day of Tree Planting; the trees are planted by whole family together with children. The veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers also took part in that campaign. Each participant took an active part in the campaign planted its tree.

Last week in the Bay of the Kuybyshev Reservoir on the territory of Spassky Nature Sanctuary near the island Tenishevsky the ichthyologists of Tatar branch of Srednevolzhrybvod together with the staff of Spassky Nature Sanctuary and fishermen of A.A.Andrianov’s team have arranged the artificial breeding areas for phytophilous fish species on an area of ​​2 hectares. The arrangement of artificial breeding areas in the spring period is one of the most effective measures to increase fish stocks of the Kuybyshev Reservoir. The belt-type breeding areas have been developed by the specialists of the Saratov branch of the National Research Institute of Lake and River Fisheries (GosNIORKh).

As part of the “Clean forests of Tatarstan” campaign and labor stage of the “March of the Parks” campaign the staff of Ashit Nature Sanctuary and students of Novokyrlayskaya High School of the Arsky District have cleaned 10 hectares of the territory of Tukay-Kyrlay Forest. During these activities more than 4.5 cubic meters of household garbage have been collected and transported to the landfill, and 1.5 cubic meters of fallen trees and dead wood have been removed. 25 people have taken part in that campaign.

The specialists of Zeya Buylary Nature Sanctuary took part in the campaign to clean forest from the fallen bodies of trees that lost their business qualities.

The forest was cleaned from wood scrap on the territory of 38-39 of Buinsky Forestry. The total cleaned area was ​​5.0 hectares.

10 people took part in the campaign. The forest was cleaned from dirtiness in an orderly way.

As part of the campaign “Clean forests of Tatarstan!” Zeya Buylary Nature Sanctuary traditionally cleans the forest in the Buinsk area from litter to reduce fire hazard and protect the young growing forest from insects and pests.

In compliance with the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan No. 377-r dated 09.03.2016, on 14 May 2016 the traditional Republican environmental campaign “Day of Forest Planting” will be held. The spring tree planting organized by the Ministry, will be held on two sites - in the Vysokogorsky District Forestry of the Prigorodny Forestry near Shcherbakovo Village and Matyushinsky District Forestry of the Prigorodny Forestry near Voronovka Village. The Ministry appealed to the state agencies, departments, and educational institutions to support the campaign. The forest experts will assist in planting and advise those wishing to participate in the campaign. The planting will start at 9.00 a.m.

As of May 05, 2016 the artificial reforestation is carried out on an area of ​​1393.9 hectares (87% of the plan), the woodland conservancy is provided on an area of ​​2099.73 hectares (97% of the plan), the interplanting is carried out on the area of ​​2866.75 hectares (57% of the plan). Currently, the sowing in nurseries is in progress.

The spring silvicultural works in the republic have started in accordance with the calendar schedule and will be completed in the spring silvicultural season in the reasonable amount of agrotechnical time.

The specialists of Zeya Buylary Nature Sanctuary were invited as a jury to the demonstration lesson devoted to the Day of Birds held in the boarding school of Buinsk town of the Republic of Tatarstan. Here they told children on how to help birds and introduced them with March of Parks campaign. At the end, the participants were awarded the diplomas.

According to the Order No.9-osn dated January 18, 2016, it is planned to carry out the following reforestation works: artificial reforestation on the area of ​​1596 hectares, the natural regeneration of the forest on the area of ​​434.3 hectares, the combined reforestation on the area of ​​31 hectares, the tending of plantations on the area of ​​17062.6 hectares, the interplanting on the area of ​​4988 hectares, the preparation of soil for the next year plantations on an area of ​​1596.9 hectares.

As of April 27, 2016 artificial reforestation is carried out on an area of ​​893 hectares (56% of the plan), the woodland conservancy is provided on an area of ​​943 hectares (43% of the plan), the interplanting is carried out on the area of ​​774 hectares (16% of the plan), and the sowing in nurseries – 2.6 hectares (12% of the plan).

The artificial reforestation has been carried out in full in Bolgarsky Forestry (20 hectares), Buinsky Forestry (12 hectares) and Sabinsky Forestry (110 ha); the artificial reforestation is almost completed in Aksubaevsky, Alkeevsky, Zelenodolsky, Kamsky, Mamadyshsky, Menzelinsky, Nurlatsky, and Cheremshansky forestries.

The trees were planted by the foresters together with the administration staff of the Executive Committee of the Verkhneuslonsky Municipal District.

The event has taken place in Verkhny Uslon Village, Zaovrazhnaya Street, on the territory of the Victory Walkway.

The campaign has become a good tradition the purpose of which is to green parks, walkways, and squares or to initiate commemorative plantings in cities and towns, to attract attention of citizens to forest conservation problem as well as to foster the attitude of care to the green wealth of the planet.
