Harvesting of illiquid wood continues in districts of Tatarstan
Regions of Tatarstan continue to perform work on harvesting of illiquid wood. For example, the specialists of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Leninogorskiy Forestry Enterprise” performed such works in the forest-park zone of Leninogorsk. The total area of 14 hectares was cleared.
Employees of the SBI of RT “Aznakaevskiy Forestry Enterprise” cleaned illiquid wood in the Aznakaevskiy district forestry area of 5 hectares, State Public Institution “Aksubaevskiy Forest District” - a site of Aksubayevsky forestry area of 3 hectares.
Specialists of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan note that harvesting of illiquid wood is carried out in places where windfalls, windbreaks, snowbreakage, crown fires and other damages are formed, when illiquid wood comprises more than 90% of the total stock of dead trees. First of all, the work is carried out in specially protected areas, recreational areas, forest parks, forests that perform sanitary and hygienic and recreational functions, protective lanes along the roads, in memorial plantings and other especially valuable forests. On lands of other purpose and other categories of protective forests, illiquid wood is harvested if there is a threat of occurrence of foci of pests or for fire safety.
