Ravil Kuzyurov took part in a meeting on implementation of delegated powers in the field of forest relations and forest industry decriminalization by the regions of the Volga Federal District

Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, Oleg Mashkovtsev, held a meeting on execution by the regional authorities of the Volga Federal District of their delegated powers in the field of forest relations, as well as forest industry decriminalization at the end of the last week in Nizhny Novgorod.

The meeting, which was held in the form of a videoconference, was attended by representatives of the Federal Forestry Agency, the Office of Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, regional departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Emergencies Ministry of Russia. The Republic of Tatarstan was represented by Renat Timerzyanov, Chief Federal Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and others.

At the beginning of the meeting, representatives of Federal Forestry Agency informed the participants about the results of monitoring the use of forests in the Volga Federal District, performed using Earth remote sensing. It was noted that satellite images are increasingly being used, both by the Federal Forestry Agency and the regions of district, in order to increase the effectiveness of execution of the delegated “forest” powers, as well as to control this activity.

The meeting participants also discussed key issues of implementation of measures to curb offenses in the field of logging and wood turnover, as well as decriminalization of forest industry in general.
