“Yel” Operation continues in Tatarstan

“Yel” Operation is underway in the Republic of Tatarstan. In Agryzskiy municipal district, the safety of coniferous young stands is provided by the staff of State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Agryzskiy Forest District”.

“Patrolling of forest areas is carried out by 4 mobile groups from among the employees of the forestry department and the territorial department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan; in total 19 people are involved. 7 patrol routes with a length of 555 kilometers have been established”, said Vladimir Ishmuratov, Deputy Head-Forester of the SPI of RT “Agryzskiy Forest District”. “We pay special attention to the area near the Agryz town, and also to control roadside forest lines, where there are spruce trees with a height of 1.5-2 meters”.

In general, about 150 mobile patrol groups have been created as part of “Yel” Operation in the Republic of Tatarstan. Let us recall that illegal logging, damage to forest stands entails the imposition of an administrative fine on citizens in the amount of 3 to 4 thousand rubles, on officials - from 20 to 40 thousand rubles, on legal entities - from 200 to 300 thousand rubles. In addition, the person who commits illegal cutting will have to compensate for the damage caused to forests, which depends on the species of felled tree and its place of growth, the category of forest protection.

All violations of forest legislation can be reported to the direct forest guard number 8-800-100-94-00, as well as through the “People's Control” mobile application.
