“Yel” Operation continues in Tatarstan

“Yel” operation continues in the Republic of Tatarstan. Within its framework, the state forest inspectors of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Alkeyevskiy Forest District” and State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Sabinskiy Forest District” detained citizens who had cut down spruce trees in the forest fund of the republic. “We have found two facts of illegal logging of coniferous young stands. Cases of administrative offenses have been instituted toward the citizens”, said Ilsur Zaynullin, Head-Forester of the SPI of RT “Alkeyevskiy Forest District”. - In the first case, the damage was 2,106 rubles, in the second – 1,898 rubles.

Damage to the forest fund is estimated at 2,127 rubles in Sabinskiy municipal district.

Let us recall that illegal logging, damage to forest stands entails imposition of an administrative fine on citizens in the amount of 3 to 4 thousand rubles, on officials - from 20 to 40 thousand rubles, on legal entities - from 200 to 300 thousand rubles. In addition, the person who commits illegal logging will have to compensate for damage caused to forests, which depends on the species of felled tree and its place of growth, category of forest protection.

All violations of forest legislation can be reported to the direct forest guard number 8-800-100-94-00, as well as through the “People's Control” mobile application.
