“Yel” Operation continues in Tatarstan
“Yel” operation continues in the Republic of Tatarstan. Within its framework, during state patrols, state forest inspectors of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Elabuzhskiy Forest District” together with employees of the territorial department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan detained three citizens who cut down spruce trees in the territories of Mendeleyevskiy and Tukayevskiy municipal districts of RT. “In the Mendeleyevskiy district, violators were caught red-handed near Toyguzino and Tatarskiy Akhtiyal villages. They cut down 2 meter-high trees. In Tukayevskiy district, near the village of Kalinino, a spruce tree with a height of 1.5 meters was cut down”, Ramis Gilaziyev, Head Forester of SPI of RT “Elabuzhskiy Forest District”, said. - Administrative proceedings have been initiated concerning the guilty persons. The total damage to the forest fund is estimated at 9.2 thousand rubles”.
“Yel” Operation will end on December 31, 2018. Let us recall that illegal logging, damage to forest stands entails imposition of an administrative fine on citizens in the amount of 3 to 4 thousand rubles, on officials - from 20 to 40 thousand rubles, on legal entities - from 200 to 300 thousand rubles. In addition, the person who commits illegal logging will have to compensate for the damage caused to forests, which depends on the species of felled tree and its place of growth, the category of forest protection.
