Over 49.7 thousand kg of freshly harvested seeds were surveyed. The analysis showed that their quality is distributed as follows: seeds of the 1st class are 43.8% (21.8 thousand kg), the 2nd class - 52.3% (26 thousand kg), the 3rd - 3, 9% (1.9 thousand kg). More than 1 thousand kg of stored seeds of forest plants were examined (seeds of 1st class quality - 38.6% (408 kg), 2nd class - 32.8% (348 kg), 3rd class - 16.1 % (170.8 kg), substandard - 12.5% (131.9 kg)).
Specialists of the FBI "Roslesozashchita" branch - "Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan" remind that to preserve the sowing qualities of seeds, their storage should be carried out in special warehouses. Such premises should be equipped with racks or bins, have natural ventilation or forced ventilation, installed devices for measuring relative humidity and air temperature. Premises, seed storage containers and used equipment should be subjected to periodic disinfection.
