It is planned to carry out reforestation on the area of more than 2.4 thousand hectares in 2019 in Tatarstan
In 2019, in the framework of implementation of the “Forest Reproduction” sub-program, reforestation is planned to be carried out on the area of 2,470.8 hectares in the Republic of Tatarstan. As part of the work, planting of forest crops will be carried out on the area of 1,729.3 hectares, measures to promote natural regeneration of forests - 542 hectares, for afforestation - 165.7 hectares, combined reforestation - 33.8 hectares.
Works on agrotechnical care for forest crops will be carried out on the area of 17,901.3 hectares, and their addition in the spring and autumn period - to 5,050 hectares.
It should be noted that last year for carrying out these works more than 48 tons of seeds of the main forest-forming species were harvested in the forestry enterprises of the republic and over 30.3 million pieces of standard planting material were grown in forest nurseries.
