In 2018, forestry specialists of the Republic of Tatarstan managed to reduce the area of dead and damaged forest plantations by 15 thousand hectares. This was made possible thanks to the complex of forestry work and sanitary and recreational activities.
The staff of the Ministry notes that sanitary and health measures are carried out in order to preserve the biological stability of plantations, prevent the widespread development of pathological processes in forest, reduce damage from pests and diseases. Considering that in recent years, adverse weather events (soil drought, high air temperatures, strong winds) recur on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, due to which the areas of damaged plantings increase, work will continue in the future.
