Work on checking the batches of seeds of forest plants continues in Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan
In the branch of Federal Budgetary Institution "Roslesozashchita" - "Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan", work continues on verification of lots of seeds of forest plants. During the first half of March, 14 batches of freshly prepared and 21 batches of stored seeds were received by the institution.
“The silvicultural season is approaching, that means that the laying of seeds for stratification starts, says Elena Murzayeva, Leading Engineer of the Tatar Seed Station. - We are doing everything possible to carry out a timely and high-quality assessment of seeds of forest plants provided by the republic’s forestry enterprises”.
In 2018, the branch specialists tested 298 batches of seeds of forest plants with a total weight of more than 50.8 thousand kg.
