Pupils of two schools of Kazan became participants of the “Nesting box” campaign
Solemn events devoted to the Day of Birds were held in Municipal Budgetary Educational Institutions “Secondary General Education School No. 24” and “Secondary General Education School No. 129” of Kazan. Employees of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Prigorodnyi Forest District” - Ivan Igonin, a District Forester of the Stolbishchenskiy district forestry, Nursil Gibadullin, a District Forester of the Matyushinskiy district forestry, and others took part in the event.
Within the framework of the events, lessons were held and letters of appreciation of SPI of RT “Prigorodnyi Forest District” were given to schoolchildren - the most active participants in “Nesting box” campaign. In total, more than 230 schoolchildren joined this campaign.
The nesting boxes made by pupils were given to the SPI of RT “Prigorodnyi Forest District”. Specialists of the institution promised to place them in parks and squares of Kazan.
For reference. Day of Birds is an ecological holiday, which is celebrated annually on April 1. It was officially celebrated in the USSR starting from 1926 (with interruptions), in Russia it was revived in 1994. It is the most famous holiday devoted to birds celebrated in the Russian Federation and takes place within the framework of the UNESCO biological program “Man and the Biosphere”.
