The first rotation of conifers seeds was completed in the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan. A total of 3 million seeds of spruce and 1 million pine seeds were sown.
Seedlings will grow in greenhouses until the beginning of May, after it is planned to transfer them to the growing fields. In parallel, there will be work on sowing the second rotation of seeds.
In 2018, 12 million units of planting material with closed root system were raised in the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan, where 5 million pieces are seedlings of Scots pine (including 437 thousand pieces with improved hereditary properties), 2.7 million pieces of European spruce seedlings, 2.7 million pieces - Birch hanging, 0.9 million pieces - Siberian larches, 0.7 million pieces - Acacia.
