The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan will support the Worldwide Movement “Earth Hour – 2019”
This year, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan will once again support the Worldwide Movement “Earth Hour”.
On Saturday, March 30, the Ministry and all its subordinate institutions will turn off for 1 hour (from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm) architectural and decorative lighting and emergency lighting of administrative buildings, as well as lighting and electrical devices of other objects not related to the safety of employees.
Earth Hour is the most massive environmental campaign on the planet, during which the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) calls for turning off the lights and electrical household appliances for one hour as a sign of indifference to the future of the planet.
In 2018, 188 countries and more than 2 billion people took part in Earth Hour. Illumination was turned off at about 18,000 buildings and structures around the world.
