District Forester of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Agryzskiy Forest District” held events devoted to the Day of Birds in schools
The District Forester of Krasnoborskiy district forestry of the SPI of RT “Agryzskiy Forest District” Nikolay Murnov held events devoted to the Day of Birds in schools. The specialist visited Municipal Budgetary Educational Institutions “Azevskaya Secondary General Education School” and “Salaushskaya Secondary General Education School” of Agryzskiy municipal district.
As part of the activities, Nikolay Murnov told pupils about the forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, the importance of forest resources, bird species and their role in nature. Also the District Forester helped the children to hang out birdhouses in the school grounds.
For reference. Day of Birds is an ecological holiday, which is celebrated annually on April 1st. In the USSR it was officially celebrated, starting from 1926 (with interruptions), in Russia it was revived in 1994. It is the most famous holiday devoted to birds celebrated in the Russian Federation and takes place within the framework of the UNESCO biological program “Man and the Biosphere”.
