“Lesovoz” Operation continues in Tatarstan
In the Republic of Tatarstan, the preventive event “Lesovoz” continues within the framework of implementation of federal law No. 415-FZ of December 28, 2013. The purpose of the operation is to prevent and suppress the illegal harvesting, transportation and processing of wood in the republic.
Thus, for the first quarter of 2019, the state forest inspectors of Tatarstan, together with the State Traffic Safety Inspectors of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, carried out 89 joint raids, checked 198 vehicles loaded with timber. One administrative offense case was initiated for transportation of wood without an accompanying document established in accordance with the forest legislation.
We remind that transportation of wood without an accompanying document issued in accordance with the forest legislation stipulates the imposition of an administrative fine on officials in the amount of 30 to 50 thousand rubles with confiscation of wood and (or) means of transport, an instrument of an administrative offense, or without it; for legal entities - from 500 to 700 thousand rubles with confiscation of wood and (or) vehicles, which are an instrument of an administrative offense, or without it.
