Forestry enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan are preparing for spring forest culture works
Subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan are preparing for spring forest culture work. So, at present, repair and maintenance of silvicultural machinery and other means of machine-tractor park, involved in implementation of reforestation and afforestation, are being carried out in forestry enterprises. Also the necessary silvicultural inventory is being purchased.
More than 30.8 million standard planting materials were grown and over 48 tons of seeds of the main forest-forming species were harvested in forest nurseries of the republic for forestry work.
It is expected that the silvicultural season will be open at the end of April of this year. In 2019 in Tatarstan, it is planned to carry out work on reforestation on the area of more than 2.4 thousand hectares, and laying protective forest stands on the area of about 2.1 thousand hectares.
