A ministerial meeting was held at the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan
Today, a ministerial meeting was held at the Ministry at which the course of execution of protocol instructions was reviewed. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Kuzyurov. The event was attended by deputy ministers, heads and specialists of departments of the Ministry.
The meeting participants reported to the Minister about the ongoing work on forests protection, preservation and reproduction, development of settlement logging, cleaning of the forest fund, development of school forest districts, supply of wood to enterprises of the republic, etc.
In particular, the Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Kuzyurov, inquired about the progress of the preventive measure “Lesovoz”. He was told that since the beginning of the year, the state forest inspectors of Tatarstan, together with the state traffic safety inspectorate staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, conducted more than 100 joint raids, inspected over 230 vehicles loaded with timber. One case of administrative offense was initiated for transportation of wood without an accompanying document in accordance with the procedure established by forest legislation.
The Minister also gave a number of instructions concerning the definition of areas for laying water-protective forest plantations, beginning of the fire-dangerous season in forests and conduct of the republican campaign “Forest Planting Day”.
