The spring stage of the Republican Environmental Campaign “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” has started in Tatarstan
Today in Tatarstan the Republican Environmental Campaign “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” started. This year it will be held in 2 stages: from April 22 to June 22 and from September 16 to November 16.
As part of the spring stage of the campaign, it is planned to clean up the territory of the forest fund of the republic from municipal solid waste, deadwood and fallen trees, as well as repair and arrangement of nameplates, information boards and resting places in forests.
Republican Environmental Campaign “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” has been held by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan since 2010. Its main goal is to create a favorable sanitary-ecological situation in forests. The campaign takes place in all municipal districts of the republic. Its permanent members are employees of the Office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, ministries and departments, institutions, organizations, enterprises, forest tenants, representatives of gardening associations, cooperatives, environmental associations, students of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, volunteers.
In 2018, the campaign was held from April 25 to June 25 and from September 15 to November 15. More than 7 thousand people joined it, and solid municipal waste, deadwood and fallen trees in the amount of 3,740 cubic meters were collected and exported from the forest fund.
