Today, the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan held public hearings on implementation of the national project “Ecology” in Tatarstan. Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Head of the working group on implementation of national projects in the Republic of Tatarstan - Tatyana Larionova, Secretary of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan - Lilia Mavrina, deputies of parliament, heads of republican ministries and departments, representatives of municipalities and public organizations attended the hearings.
Opening the hearings, Tatyana Larionova noted that national projects were designed to combine the efforts of state and municipal bodies and public structures to accelerate the development of the country and improve the lives of its citizens.
The Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Kuzyurov, made a report at the meeting. In his speech, he spoke about the implementation of the federal project “Forest Preservation” of the national project “Ecology” in the Republic of Tatarstan. “The project for the republic defined the achievement of two main indicators. The first is the ratio of reforestation and afforestation to the area of felled and dead forest plantations. The project value of this indicator in 2019 is 61.1%. By 2024, the figure should reach 100%”, the Minister said.
According to him, the allocated federal funds will be spent on reforestation and afforestation, as well as on purchase of specialized forestry machinery and equipment.
“The second indicator is called “damage from forest fires by years”. The indicator is not set in a numerical value due to the fact that it is the result of a natural, unpredictable natural phenomenon, Ravil Kuzyurov noted. - In turn, to achieve these objectives, funds from the federal budget will be invested in equipping specialized institutions with forest fire machinery and equipment”.
Then the speakers answered questions of participants in public hearings who were interested in the criteria for determining the uniqueness of water bodies for inclusion in the list of protected; prospects for the safety of the UNESCO Raifsko-Saralinsky reserve as part of the Volga-Kamsky reserve; plans for improving the environment and improving the atmosphere in Nizhnekamskiy industrial district.
Summing up the public hearings, Tatyana Larionova urged the municipal authorities to become more actively involved in national projects and expressed the hope that people would appreciate the efforts of the federal and republican authorities aimed at improving their lives.
